PSEB 12th Political Science Exam 2025 Controversy! Aam Aadmi Party has been accused of attempting to influence young voters through the inclusion of politically biased questions in the Punjab Board exams 2025.
PSEB 12th Board Exam 2025: Punjab Board of School Education (PSEB) recently concluded PSEB Class 12 Board Exams 2025. The conduct of Class 12 PSEB Political Science Exam 2025 has gathered a lot of controversy. Vineet Joshi, the media in-charge of Punjab BJP, on March 10 accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of attempting to influence young voters through the inclusion of politically biased questions in exams. Joshi raised concerns over the PSEB Class 12 Political Science exam held on March 4, alleging that questions related to the AAP’s policies and programs were deliberately inserted to promote the party's image.
He pointed out specific questions in the exam, including one asking when AAP was established and another asking students to describe the party’s policies and programs. Joshi argued that such questions were a clear attempt to manipulate the minds of young voters by subtly promoting the Aam Aadmi Party.
BJP’s Allegations: Misuse of Educational System
At a press conference, Joshi criticized the Punjab Government for what he described as a blatant misuse of office by the AAP. He emphasized that the education department should not serve as a mouthpiece for any political party. According to Joshi, asking questions that focus on AAP’s history and political agenda is inappropriate for an academic exam, as it could unduly influence the opinions of young students.
“The minds of youngsters, potential voters, should not be influenced using the crutches of the education department,” Joshi stated. He accused the Aam Aadmi Party of using the exam system to further its political agenda and create unnecessary controversy.
AAP Responds: Curriculum-Based Questions, Not Political Manipulation
In response to these allegations, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) spokesperson Neel Garg dismissed the accusations as baseless. Garg stated that the subject of Political Science naturally involves discussions on regional and national political parties, which include topics on various political entities such as BJP and Congress. He clarified that such questions were not new and had appeared in previous years' papers as well.
According to Garg, the questions in the PSEB Class XII exam were not politically motivated but were based on the prescribed curriculum, which covers political parties and their policies as part of the academic syllabus.
AAP Accused of Creating Political Disruption for Personal Gain
Punjab Board will conduct the PSEB 12th exams 2026 between February 19 and April 4, 2026, tentatively in pen and paper format. The Board is expected to release the PSEB 12th date sheet 2026 in November 2025.

The Punjab School Education board (PSEB) will likely release the PSEB date sheet 2026 in December 2025. The PSEB exam dates 2026 are released online on the official website- pseb.ac.in. PSEB board exams 2026 for classes 10, 12 will be held in Feb/March 2026.
Students must finish their PSEB syllabus and know the exam pattern well to ace the examinations. They must also solve and practice PSEB sample papers 2026 and to know the marking scheme and the types of questions asked in the exam.
The AAP spokesperson also slammed the BJP for attempting to create unnecessary controversy and mislead the public for political gain. Garg highlighted that such questions have appeared in previous board exams and were not exclusively focused on AAP. In earlier exams, questions regarding the BJP and Congress were also part of the curriculum.
PSEB Exam Controversy: Impact on Young Voters’ Minds
The debate over the Class XII Political Science exam has sparked intense discussions regarding the role of education in shaping young minds and the potential influence of political parties in educational institutions. While BJP accuses AAP of exploiting the exam system, AAP insists that it’s simply following the standard curriculum designed by educational authorities.
