The cutoff is minimum marks in each subject and total of all three subjects which every candidates have to score to qualify the exam. Only JEE Advanced exam qualified candidates are allowed to participate in JoSAA counselling for admission in IIT colleges.

The JEE Advanced 2026 counselling (JoSAA) started on June 2, 2026. Note that the counselling for the JEE Advanced qualified candidates for IIT admissions is conducted jointly with NITs, IIITs and GFTIs admission counselling by JoSAA - Joint seat allocation authority.
Candidates have to register for JoSAA, fill choices, check allotment, confirm allotment, and pay seat confirmation fee to complete the IIT admisison process after JEE Advanced. The registration for JoSAA counselling started on June 2, 2026.
