NEET CutOff 2025: The NTA released the NEET qualifying cut off 2025 along with results on June 14, 2025. The result PDF displayed the category-wise cut off marks. The NEET cut off percentile remained the same. However, the cutoff score or marks were reduced. Students can find below the category-wise NEET UG cutoff 2025 scores and percentiles. On the other hand, the NEET UG cutoff rank 2025 was released by the MCC after the counselling process. The NEET cutoff rank was made available separately for MBBS and BDS courses. The NEET cutoff is of two types- qualifying cutoff scores and admission cutoff rank. The qualifying cutoff is released along with the exam result and cutoff rank is released after the counselling process. Candidates planning to appear for the NEET 2026 exam should go through the previous years' cutoff for 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, etc., to analyse the scores.

NEET 2025 Cutoff: Determining Factors
The NTA determines the NEET cutoff based on the factors given below-
- Total number of candidates who appear for the examination: 23,09,318 students wrote the exam. 12,36,531 students passed in NEET 2025. The competition decreased from last year.
- Difficulty level of the examination: NEET 2025 was tougher than the previous years. Hence, the NEET 2025 cutoff decreased.
- Performance of the candidates: Due to the toughness of the test, the highest marks obtained was 686 out of 720. Nobody scored full marks.
- Number of seats available: The total number of seats available for MBBS and BDS courses is 1,18,190 and 27,868, respectively. The number of MBBS seats has increased.
Just clearing the NEET result does not guarantee admission to a medical college. Students have to participate in the NEET counselling process, and seats will be allotted based on various factors like choices filled, number of seats available, among others.

The AIIMS accepts NEET scores for admission to the MBBS. Students need to obtain the NEET cut off percentile and scores to get shortlisted for counselling in AIIMS MBBS course. The NEET 2025 cutoff scores for generally category was 686-144. So, a general category student with 550 marks cannot take admissions to AIIMS.
Candidates need to obtain the NEET exam pass marks to clear the exam. The minimum NEET cutoff percentile that candidates must obtain is shared below-

The NEET UG cut-off (counselling) is the closing rank of candidates who got admitted into a particular college. The NEET UG counselling 2025 process is almost over. The minimum qualifying percentile for OBC category in NEET UG exam is 40th. In NEET 2025, the cutoff score for OBC was 143-113. The NEET percentile of OBC remains the same every year. However, the scores get changed.
Yes, AIIMS Raipur accepts NEET scores. There is no other entrance exam conducted by AIIMS Raipur or AIIMS institutes for MBBS admission. Although earlier AIIMS used to conduct its own entrance exam, but it was scrapped in 2020. The admission to AIIMS Raipur takes place through NEET counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. AIIMS Raipur seats are a part of the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates must secure a NEET score above 700 in order to have a chance to get admission to the MBBS course in this coveted medical institute of India.

It is possible to get admission to a private medical college with a score of 300 in NEET. For a government medical college, one should ideally obtain a score above 600. The NEET cutoff for the Government medical colleges varies as per the institute rank and round of counselling. Hence, it can be said that a score of 300 in NEET may not be sufficient for admission to Government medical colleges. As per past years' trends, a score between 500 to 700 or above is in the cutoff marks for NEET.

No, you cannot participate in any counselling process if you do not qualify for the NEET 2025 cutoff criteria. Candidates from the General category should get the NEET cutoff marks to be eligible for the NEET AYUSH counselling.
