SSC CPO Exam Day Guidelines 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is all set to conduct the SSC CPO 2024 Tier 1 exam on June 27, 28 and 29, 2024. The exam will be conducted for all the registered candidates. According to SSC CPO shift timings, the exam will be conducted in three shifts-9.00 am-11.00 am, 12.30 pm-02.30 pm and 4.00 pm-6.00 pm. SSC CPO exam day guidelines 2024 were released by SSC along with the notification. The exam day guidelines highlight regarding the dos and don’ts related to the exam. SSC CPO exam day guidelines provides details related to the important documents, list of banned items, dress code, etc. Candidates need to adhere to the SSC CPO exam day guidelines or else they will be barred from the exam.

SSC CPO exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). The selection process of SSC CPO comprises Paper 1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper 2, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Q:   When SSC CPO notification 2024 was released?
A:

SSC CPO notification 2024 was released on March 4, 2024. The notification was released to fill up a total of 4,187 vacancies. A total of 125 vacancies have been announced for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Male), 61 for SI (Exe) in Delhi Police (Female) and 4001 SI (GD) in CAPFs. The notification has been released in PDF form and comprises the details related to the exam. 

Q:   What is the training period for SSC CPO?
A:

The training is confined to institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF.

Q:   What benefits would I get if selected during the SSC CPO?
A:

All the benefits that are being given to 4200 GP/2800 GP central government employees. And as it is a central police organisation so other allowances will also be given depending upon the difficulty level of candidates' posting zone.

  • Candidates must note down their name, roll number, ticket number, date, time and SSC CPO exam centres. These details are mentioned in SSC CPO admit card. In case candidates find any mistake in the details, they should inform the examination authority for correction
  • Candidates must be present in the examination hall atleast half-an-hour before the exam. Candidates are allowed to leave the examination hall until the exam is over
  • Candidates arriving at the exam centre late are not allowed to appear for the exam
  • Bring the printed copy of their SSC CPO admit cards along with one valid photo-identity proof to the exam centre
  • Candidates need to affix one photo on the admit card. Candidates need to submit one portion of their SSC CPO admit cards to the invigilator
  • Candidates must leave the space for signature and left thumb impression as it needs to be signed infront of the invigilator
  • Candidates must not bring books, slide rules, notebooks, pagers, mobile phones, written notes, calculators and other electronic gadgets to the exam centre
  • Mobile phones, pagers, etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre
  • Candidates will be provided sheets for rough work. They need to handover the rough sheets to the invigilator after the exam gets over

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2024

SSC CPO Paper 1 exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Questions in the exam are asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.  As per SSC CPO exam pattern, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 1 exam. For the correct answer, candidates score one mark.

Q:   What are the items prohibited inside the SSC CPO exam centre?
A:

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items to the SSC CPO exam centre such as Books, Pens, Electronic items, calculators, headphones etc. Those carrying these are not allowed to appear for the exam.

Q:   Will I be offered travelling allowances for SSC CPO exam?
A:

Travelling cost is not offered to candidates appearing for written examination. They must reach the exam centre on time. Candidates should check the location of the exam centre one day before the exam. They should reach the exam centre on time.
