Review of Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi.
Placements: The college is well-known for its placements, right after the spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi. Students usually get internships in their third year, and placement season starts in the 7th semester for B.Teach and the 9th semester for IDD students. This year, the highest package offered was 1.68 CPA, and more than 100 companies visited for both core and non-core roles. The average package stayed around 23-24 LPA. Over 80% of students got placed, which is a big positive considering the current recession.
Infrastructure: The college has pretty good infrastructure and decent amenities. The on-campus housing is actually comfortable and managed well, so many students prefer staying there. The food service is okay, too, not anything special, but it does the job. Overall campus experience was good and nice.
Faculty: Honesty, the faculty here is amazing. Every teacher really knows their subject and teaches with interest. They are approachable and always ready to help. Their teaching style makes it easier to understand the concepts. The curriculum is updated, and the exam papers are balanced not too tough, not too easy.

It is the best college with good campus life and placements.
Placements: I am from the Electronics department, and the highest package is around 1.2 CPA, while the average package offered is 27 LPA. Many top companies visit here for recruitment and check every skill that is useful for their company development. There is a placement cell here.
Infrastructure: Our college has good sports facilities and big grounds for every game. There are many games like badminton, basketball, cricket, boxing, and many others. There is a sports fest, namely Spardha. Every year, many colleges come and compete, making the campus joyful. Good labs are there for students’ experiments and deep learning.
Faculty: The exams here are tough. 75 percent attendance is compulsory and very good for lectures. This course makes the student well-prepared for the core programme and has very good labs for students’ experiments and deep learning.
Other: Good college with the best sports facilities and greenery.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons.) - Batch of 2029

2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
I am very satisfied with the college, except for placements, everything is nice.
Placements: Do not expect any placements from the Faculty of Commerce. Faculty makes it clear in the orientation that you are responsible for your own placement, though there is an active placement cell of BHU that can help you get a job. You can expect around 4 LPA on average after B.Com (H).
Infrastructure: From this year 2025, NEP is fully applied in the Commerce faculty. B.Com (H) is now 4 years instead of 3 years. There is an option to get an Honours plus Research degree in the 4th year. Unfortunately, the boys' hostel is under construction and renovation, and no male student is allotted a hostel.
Faculty: Faculty is very good and experienced, with professors having an average of 20 to 30 years of experience. The syllabus is slightly changed and updated due to NEP. I do not think B.Com makes a student industry-ready. Semester exams are not very hard to pass; only a few fail due to their own mistakes.
Other: BHU offers a wide range of facilities like cyber libraries, swimming pool, and more at very affordable rates. The crowd is friendly and interactive. Many fests and seminars happen at every corner of BHU throughout the year.

Decent infrastructure and well-experienced faculty.
Placements: About 65 percent of the students will get placements in our course. The average package is 8 LPA, and the top recruiting companies are Tata Motors, Bajaj, etc. While coming to the interns, the core companies were low compared to the non-core, so the interns were pretty difficult. Top roles like design engineer and production engineer will be achieved.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facilities are good. The teaching quality is good. While coming to labs and equipment, it is perfect. The library and classrooms are good too, but the spacing is small compared to the total students. The hostels are a bit old, and the food is decent, too.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are well-experienced, so that you can take advice from them. They are well qualified. This course makes the students industry-ready. While coming to the semester exams, there are decent and sometimes difficult, but if we understand the concepts, then we can easily survive.
Other: The events, fests, and other extracurricular activities were good. We can learn so many things, like communication skills and gaining confidence, etc.

Top notch facilities at affordable price.
Placements: 1/4th of students who secured top ranks get easy placements among top universities and top MNCs, depending on their skills. Undergraduate students who apply for internship get more opportunities due to their reputation. Top course gets better placements, however, it is mainly dependent on individual skills and academic performance..
Infrastructure: BHU has one of the best infrastructures in terms of facilities like Wi-Fi classrooms and a library. It has one of the biggest libraries with computer facilities too, which is best for students. BHU provides a good hostel with food facilities at a very reasonable price. Its also best for international students, too, as they get 1BHK hostel facilities with a very affordable price.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well qualified and experienced. The exam level depends on the subjects and course. Mostly are related to pyqs and imp questions, one can pass and score good marks by having good conceptual clarity. Some faculty didnt give marks easily. You need to present your exam answers very well to score good marks.
Other: A lot of events, fests, and seminars are conducted on different topics in BHU where students can enroll and enhance their skills, personality, and connectivity. The best part is that you find students from different regions of India as well as foreign students. So its great for connectivity.

Neutral as per the course and faculty offered, and value for money.
Placements: The college offers no direct recruitment or placement opportunities. It does have a counseling and placement group under which the students can apply for the posted job profiles by themselves, but there's no direct support from the college. Though the professors always inform about the new opportunities being available, they are always available for guidelines. Still, the college does not provide any interview opportunities or allow any companies to visit the campus directly for recruiting students. Therefore, in the placement field, the students are left on their own.
Infrastructure: The college is well developed in matters of infrastructure. It has well-developed classrooms with smart boards as well. The classrooms are well functional and there's a lift as well. The seminar hall is also well developed and conducive. A well-functioning library and cyber library. There are private hostels inside, and they offer decent food and facilities according to your choice, and there are even many events being organized by the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers of Political Science are not very great. It was good, as earlier, for 2 years, everything seemed in place, but in the third year, there was much chaos. Exams are more scheduled, and we'll conduct them, and due to the COVID batch, the exams were conducted without many gaps.
Other: The college is affiliated with Banaras Hindu University, and hence it gains much validity, and the results provided belong to BHU itself.
