Good University with great infrastructure and facilities but a little on the expensive side.
Placements: A lot of people opt VIT because of placements. Although VIT has a lot of companies coming in for recruitment, there is also fierce competition among the students, as the population of the college is quite high. In CSE-IoT, almost 90% of the students were placed. Some of the others opted for higher studies. The highest CTC offered to our course was 50 LPA, the lowest was 3.8 LPA, and the average is 8LPA. It is hard to summarize top recruiting companies as there were a lot, but Amazon, Accenture, Deloitte were few of the top companies that recruited. Almost 60% of the students got internship opportunities from companies like Amazon. The main roles offered were Software Development roles, or some business related ones.
Infrastructure: One of the best things about VIT is it's good infrastructure and facilities. The classroom are well maintained with projector in every class. The labs have very good computers with good internet connection. Free Wi-Fi is available in hostels till 12:20 AM. The library is very big, has various books are all the topics you would want to explore and thousand of e-books available to you all the time. You could access library even at night till 12 AM. VIT has decent hostels, cleaned every day. The food given in the mess can get a little repetitive but there are lot of other options to get food from. There is a hospital inside VIT, but from what I heard the doctors aren't that good at diagnosing. VIT has multiple basketball, badminton courts, along with a huge ground for cricket too.
Faculty: AS VIT has FFCS system, where students have to select their courses and teachers. It is quite competitive and you might not get a course that you want. Most of the teachers are quite knowledgeable, but few of them aren't that good. The course curriculum is quite relevant, and the strict deadline for projects and assignments help make students industry ready. The exams are not that difficult, it frankly depends on the teacher making the question paper. The pass percentage id 80%. .
Other: I chose this CSE-IoT course because IoT is being used everywhere today. This course gave me a better understanding of IoT integrated with cloud. VIT is great for extracurricular activities. There are numerous clubs to join based on interests. There are several events organized by clubs and chapters almost everyday. VIT has two main fests : Gravitas and River. Gravitas being the teach fest and River being more of a cultural fest.

Vellore institute of technology review from my end.
Placements: College provides lot of opportunities. Every top tier company visits here for recruitment. It depends on the student that how skillful he/she is. There are companies range from mass recruiters to the Uber, de shaw and other with high CTC and all kind of companies hire a lot of students.
Infrastructure: Academic infrastructure is good. Labs and all that stuff is of top notch quality. Mess food depends on the caterer you get because there are many caterers here in VIT. Sports facilities are good. Hostel rooms are okayish to good again depends on the block you get or choose but 2ac room is recommended. On canteen part there are alot of shops, food courts, juice points etc. *Domino's outlet is also there inside the campus.
Faculty: All teachers are Ph.D. and have good knowledge but don't expect alot because they are mostly interested in research work, patents kind of work. There is ffcs in which you can choose your faculty, courses, timings etc. Which can be helpful for many people.
Other: In CSE/IT and ECE placements are good but at the end depends on individual. College fests are amazing. There are hundred of clubs/chapters/societies if you want to join them. If you wanna go for higher education in USA/UK/Germany/Ireland etc. Then you can find many people preparing for GMAT GRE etc. Many people are also interested in startups and all. At the end I can say that VIT has a lot to offer, it depends on the student how he/she can make use of it.

It is an expensive college. Our college provides guaranteed placements.
Placements: lll
Infrastructure: The campus and its infrastructure are top-notch. The campus is a bit small. It is very beautiful and has every amenity. All kinds of sports grounds are available in our college. All classrooms are a bit old-fashioned. They are not air-conditioned. They are smart classrooms. Our college has a huge library.
Faculty: Teachers do their part in teaching, but at the end of the day, we all go and watch Youtube and mug up the topics. The curriculum is a bit old. Our college is trying to bring changes to the curriculum. Semester exams are moderate. There is no way of passing until we properly study.
Other: I opted for B.Tech in computer science with a specialisation in IOT. Even though there were elements of IOT, we have to know the basics of ECE. So it is a bit difficult for me. Electives are difficult. The campus organises various events. They are very good and crowded. The campus is surrounded by trees.

It is a good university with good infrastructure.
Placements: Recently, the placements are good and some of the students got good placements in top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. Good companies were coming at the beginning and in later stage, all mass recruiters come and take away most of the people with some fewer salary packages of 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is bad because the speed is not increased. Classrooms are good and spacious but there are no air-conditioners in classrooms. Labs are good, but some labs have PCs. Now, they are upgrading most PCs with laptops and mouse with locks.
Faculty: Some teachers are good and they explain well. Some are bad but we can choose by FFCS. We have relative grading so some faculty members give marks accordingly. The final grade is good for most people but some faculty members do not know about it and give or take marks completely which is very bad. Overall, there are too many exams.
Other: Our college has more crowd. Our college has many clubs. Students can participate in extracurricular activities. Our course is decent.

Our college is good in terms of infrastructure.
Placements: Our college provides 100% placements. The highest salary package offered is 1 CPA. The top recruiting company is Motorq. Internships start in the 5th semester. Students who have good coding skills and resumes can get summer internships with a salary of Rs. 50,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The food served in the mess is average. The hostel rooms are good. The hostel will close at 9 pm, so students face some difficulties. Students should pay some amount to get into the hostel. Canteens are good. Chicken puffs are the best in G block. Our college builds new blocks every year.
Faculty: Some faculty members are very good. They have excellent knowledge about the course they are reaching. Some faculty members just read PPTs and expect us to write in exams. If you want to learn a course, it is better to learn by yourself. Some faculty members are not good. They have records of failing students.
Other: The crowd is good.

The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like CAT, XAT, MAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, etc., for MBA course. However, admission to a few other courses, including BSc, BSc (Hons), BCA, BCom, MSc, MCA, among others, is based on the aggregate obtained by the candidates in previous qualifying degree/ exam (merit-based). After passing the entrance exam, aspirants are called further rounds of selection. Shortlisted aspirants need to come for counselling and document verification round.

Q:   Is VIT better than IIT?
A:

IIT is a public/government university. Whereas, VIT is a private university. Therefore there is difference in the fee for various courses and the education structure as well. VIT is one of the best private university offering Engineering and various other courses to students. Both are best universities and are incomparable. To get admission to VIT, candidates must have valid scores in VITEEE,  VITMEE,  VITREE, and other entrance exams.
