The IIT JAM 2026 registration is open for admission to the MSc course, and the last date has been extended to Oct 20, 2025. The IIT JAM Exam 2026 will be held on Feb 15, 2026.
The CEED Registration 2026 is open for IIT Kanpur admission to the M.Des course. Without late fee, the end date to register is Oct 31, 2025. In addition, the CEED 2026 exam is scheduled for Jan 18, 2026.

Placements: In our senior batch, 55 out of 70 students have secured placements so far, with an average package of 15 LPA as a base. The big names hiring include Microsoft, Intel, Flipkart, and Saplabs, among others. As for the roles, we are talking about SDE, data scientists, and cybersecurity engineers. The highest package is 60 LPA.

Infrastructure: The campus comprises all the required academic and research buildings, a central library, well-equipped labs, and classrooms that have Wi-Fi accessibility. In addition to this, students may use the residential facilities and dining halls. The hostel accommodation is generally considered satisfactory. The food in the mess is middling, and the health center is staffed with medical professionals who are there to help if someone falls sick.

Dissatisfied because of faculty members.

Placements: The highest package is 9 LPA, and the average package is 7 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. About 60% of the students got placed in our batch. Many reputed companies reached our college campus for recruitment, and several students got internships.

Infrastructure: Classrooms and labs are average and not cleaned on a daily basis. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is not acceptable. Wi-Fi facilities are only for faculty members. The hostel rooms are not so comfortable and very small. Sports and medical facilities are available.

Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable but they are not much helpful. They became angry if students asked about their doubts. The teaching quality is good but the behaviour of faculty members is not acceptable. Only few curriculum activities are conducted.

As per the details collated from various sources on the internet, a student must have a GATE rank up to 200 or below for admission to M.Tech at IIT Kanpur. IIT Kanpur scholarships are offered to award meritorious students. IITK offers the following scholarships to the students:

Merit-cum-means Scholarship: IIT Kanpur offers Merit-cum-means Scholarship to offer financial assistance to meritorious students and support economically weak students. The scholarship is offered to around 25% students from each batch, out of which 20% are offered to the reserved category students (SC/ST).
Donor Scholarships: This scholarship is offered to award the deserving and needy candidates.
External Scholarships: IITK assists students in exploring and applying for the scholarships offered by the government through various schemes. Candidates can apply for these external scholarships via the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Academic Excellence Awards: These are the annual awards presented to reward the students with a CPI of 8.5 or above. The students must meet the criteria and other requirements.
