NIFT Sample Questions: Business Domain Segment - NIFT 2026 exam will be held in the second week of February, 2026. On the day of the exam, carry the admit card, ID proof, photograph, and essential stationery to the NIFT 2026 exam center. The NTA will be conducting the NIFT Entrance Exam in 27 test centres across India in 18 cities. The candidate can select their choice of exam center when filling out the NIFT 2026 application form.

The exam pattern for NIFT GAT varies from one course to another. The total number of questions asked in NIFT GAT is mentioned below: BDes: 100 questions, BFTech: 150 questions, MDes: 120 questions, MFTech: 150 questions, MFM: 150 questions. Note that the GAT or the General Ability Test will be conducted in a computer-based mode. Questions will be objective-type. The GAT paper for the B. Des and M.Des programs will be of 120 minutes. However, the GAT paper for the B.FTech, M.FTech, and MFM courses will be for 180 minutes.

For NIFT Delhi B.Des admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 from any recognised Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/ State Board New Delhi/ Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi. A passing grade in the Senior Secondary School examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects is also eligible to apply for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi.
Direct admission is not possible at the National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT Jodhpur. Candidates must follow the eligibility criteria to apply for admission to several courses at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The eligibility criteria for the admission to undergraduate courses is passed a three or four-year Diploma recognised by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) or to pass Class 12 from a recognised board or the State Board of Technical Education. The accepted entrance exam is NIFT Entrance Exam and others.
National Institute of Fashion Technology admit candidates to MDes programme based on merit in the national-level design entrance test conducted by the institute. Admission to NIFT Kangra is entrance based for the UG and PG programmes.
