Step-by-Step COMEDK Online Counselling Registration
Candidates must execute the central engineering counselling layout completely online via the official portal.
Step 1: Login and Initial Setup
Visit the authoritative website [comedk.org](https://www.comedk.org/counselling-document-2026) and navigate to the Applicant Login. Input your application number and password to enter your dashboard.
Step 2: Counselling Fee Payment
Click on the Counselling Registrationtab. To participate, you must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹2,000 using an online gateway (Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking).
Step 3: Document Upload for Online Verification
Switch to the Document Upload tab. You need to upload neat, unscanned-edge copies of your original credentials in PDF or JPEG format. Key items include:
Candidate's Original Government ID proof (PAN, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
Date of Birth Proof (10th Marks Card / SSLC Certificate)
12th Standard / 2nd PUC equivalent Marks Card
Kalyana Karnataka Region (KKR) 371J Certificate (If applicable)
Category Certificates (SC/ST/OBC) (If applicable for relaxation)
Understanding Your Document Verification Status
Once documents are submitted, the verification authorities process them methodically. Candidates must monitor their dashboard profile regularly. The tracking indicators translate as follows:
Document Submitted: Your credentials are waiting in queue for review.
Under Review: The verification team is cross-checking your details.
Resubmit: An uploaded file is unclear or missing. You will generally have a short 12-hour window to correct this.
Document Approved: Excellent. You are officially eligible for upcoming choice-filling phases.
Document Rejected: Credentials failed compliance; you are disqualified from the progression.
Subsequent Counselling Rounds and Choice Filling
Following the completion of document validation by June 30, the registration portal will lock, giving way to the Choice Filling phase in July 2026.
COMEDK will host four structural rounds of active seat allotments depending on candidate ranks, institutional seat matrices, and preferences. While the complete breakdowns for Rounds 2, 3, and 4 will release sequentially based on AICTE and statutory directives, General Merit and KKR category candidates can plan ahead for choices stretching through August and early September. Ensure you arrange a diversified checklist of safe, target, and dream engineering colleges once the choice-filling matrix goes live.

KCET is only for Karnataka domicile students — so students from other states cannot apply for KCET unless they have studied in Karnataka for a minimum number of years (usually Classes 6–10 or 11–12 in a Karnataka school).
