Easiest Shift of MHT CET 2026 PCM Session 1: Maharashtra State CET Cell is conducting MHT CET 2026 for session 1 (PCM) group from April 11 to 20. No exam was conducted on April 12 and 14. The easiest shift in MHT CET 2026 mainly refers to the shift that has the most straight-forward questions. It can also mean that the majority of questions are direct, formula-based and theory-heavy. It is not compulsory to attempt all the question in MHT CET exam. Students are advised to attempt only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Questions for which the answer is not sure should be left. However, as there is NO negative marking in MHT CET exam, questions for which answer is doubtful can be attempted in last. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
The MHT CET chapter-wise weightage for classes 11th and 12th is as follows:
- Class 11th: 20% weightage
- Class 12th: 80% weightage
The MHT CET syllabus is of medium difficulty level. The topics covered in MHT CET syllabus is that of the Maharashtra state board for classes 11 and 12. Students can prepare for MHT CET exam using their NCERT textbooks and score a good score. Candidates are however advised to refer some additional books in order to score good marks in MHT CET. Also, not all topics of class 11 are covered in MHT CET exam whereas all class 12 topics are part of MHT CET syllabus.
The MHT CET 2026 exam is conducted for a total of 200 marks for both PCM and PCB marks. The MHT CET exam is conducted for 3 papers- Maths (Paper 1), Physics and Chemistry (Paper 2) and Biology (Paper 3) and each for 100 marks. Paper 2 is common for both groups.
