GATE being nation's most challenging and competitive exams, has a strong impact on aspirants commitment to higher education and PSU job opportunities. According to a recent poll conducted Shiksha, has revealed candidate's GATE scores in exam. The poll states that a major pool of applicants have secured around 300 to 500. With 2734 responses in total, the results define interesting stats regarding MTech admissions and PSU recruitment.

- Secured 1000 GATE Score: 9%
- Between 800 to 600 Score: 19%
- 500 to 300 Score: 54%
- Below 200 Score: 9%

Candidates with GATE score 300 to 500 can expect the following -

NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. Candidates applying to a MSc course in IIT Delhi must fulfil the required eligibility criteria. Thus, aspirant must hold a valid bachelor's degree in a relevant stream for at least two years (four semesters) and a minimum aggregate between 55% and 80% or 5.5 CGPA out of 10.
