According to a recent poll conducted Shiksha, has revealed candidate's GATE scores in exam. The poll states that a major pool of applicants have secured around 300 to 500. With 2734 responses in total, the results define interesting stats regarding MTech admissions and PSU recruitment.

- Secured 1000 GATE Score: 9%
- Between 800 to 600 Score: 19%
- 500 to 300 Score: 54%

Candidates Securing Between 500 to 300
Candidates with GATE score 300 to 500 can expect the following -

A score above 600, in disciplines like ECE, EE, ME, or CS, can have good chances of -

Usually, the duration of post graduation courses is 2 years. At NIT Trichy, the duration of a PG-level MCA course is of three years. NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The GATE exam is conducted once a year. The entrance test takes place on multiple dates and shifts for 30 test papers. For 2026, IIT Guwahati is conducting the exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.

IIIT Allahabad accpets JEE Main score for admission to the BTech courses. As per the IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for BTech ranged between 5924 and 9558, among which Information Technology was the most competitive specialisation. The Round 1 closing rank for BTech ranged between 4817 and 8428 for BTech.
So, considering the previous year Round 1 and the Last Round closing ranks, candidates seeking admission to IIIT Allahabad must secure a rank over and above 4800 and 9600 for the General ALL India category candidates.
