JoSAA counselling is usually held in 5 or 6 rounds. The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 40 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) will be done by JoSAA in various rounds deending on various factors. In these rounds, candidates are allotted seats based on their JEE Main or JEE Advanced rank and preferences filled by them during registration. Candidates who are allotted seats have to either accept or float the seat.
A JEE rank of more than 70,000 is typically regarded as low, and applicants frequently give up on getting into the NITs and B.Tech programmes of their choice. The good news is that a number of universities, such as NITs and IIITs, accept JEE Main low scores up to 2,000,000. Based on the data from the previous year, NIT Mizoram has the lowest cutoff with a closing rank of 678406 for B.Tech. Civil Engineering (Gender-Neutral). It is followed by NIT Sikkim, which has a JEE Main rank of 639272 for B.Tech. EEE, and NIT Agartala, which has a JEE Main rank of 287950 for B.Tech. Biotech & Bio Chem Engineering. Therefore a rank of 9 Lacs can also have a chance of getting into colleges.

JoSAA counselling is a national level counselling process. It is a centralised counselling process for all candidates with JEE Main and JEE Advanced ranks. All UG courses admission offered based on JEE Mains ranks at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and other GFTIs is done via JoSAA. Similarly, for IITs, all UG course admissions based on JEE Advanced ranks is based on the JoSAA counselling process.

No, you cannot appear for JoSAA counselling with 350 marks in Class 12 UP board. The minimum percentage required to appear for JoSAA Counseling is 75% in class 12 with Physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidates must have completed their class 12 from a recognised board. A total of 350 marks out of 500 constitutes 70% of marks, which does not meet the minimum percentage required to appear for JoSAA counselling.

Candidates are given only one chance to enter their choice, edit the choices, rearrange them before the choice filling deadline.
