SRMJEEE and MET are very popular engineering entrance exams taken by most students who appear in JEE Mains. As the dates are in a clash, students have to select any one exam to appear if the dates are not revised.
The National Testing Agency had recently rescheduled the JEE Main 2022 exam dates for the first session due to a clash with several state boards exams of class 12. JEE Main April exams which were earlier scheduled to be held from April 16 to 21 will now be conducted on 21, 24, 25, 29 April and 1, 4 May 2022. But, the new exam dates of JEE Main are in clash with several other engineering entrance exams including the popular ones like SRMJEEE and MET 2022. Also, the ISC class 12 board exam of English is in a clash with the new JEE Main 2022 exam date.

Students had been constantly raising concern over the exam dates of JEE Main 2022 ever since the schedule was announced by the NTA. Students studying in class 12 are appearing in their class 12 board exams in March and April and would also be appearing in JEE Mains in April. Many students have been complaining that less time gap between dates of JEE and board exams is impacting their preparation for both exams and would eventually affect their performance.
NTA releases JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Exam city intimation slip in March. JEE Main Session 2 City Intimation Slip 2025 is available for download on the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. To download the JEE Mains exam city intimation slip, candidates need to login on the website using their application number and date of birth. The exam city slip will have details of city in which the test centre of candidate is located and the date of exam. The JEE Mains exam city slip 2025 session 1 was released on January 10.
NTA has released the JEE Main 2026 dates on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The session 1 exam will be conducted from January 21 to 30. The JEE Main 2026 exam date session 2 is April 2 to 9. The JEE Main 2026 application form has been released on October 31, 2025 and the last date to apply is November 27. Candidates are advised to keep checking this page regularly for all updates related to JEE Main 2026 exam dates and schedule of other events related to the exam.

As the exam dates of JEE are in clash with MET and SRMJEEE 2022, the institutes are likely to reschedule these dates in order to allow students to appear in both exams. Manipal Institute of Technology Entrance Test (MET) and SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) are very popular exams and are taken by most engineering aspirants. Also, the English language paper of ISC would also be changed considering the clash with JEE.
Students Demand Postponement of JEE Main 2022
Students fraternity has been constantly demanding the postponement of JEE Main until the class 12 board exams get over. “As we’ve only two attempts this year and JEE Main is sandwiched between class 12 board exams and JEE Main 2022, we can not focus on either exam. Our performance and preparation is at stake and NTA must make a decision on it soon, said Vignesh, JEE Main 2022 aspirant from Jhansi.”
Will JEE Main 2022 second attempt be postponed?
The first attempt of JEE Main 2022 will conclude on May 4 and the second attempt will begin on May 24. As there is only 20 days gap between the two attempts, there is a strong possibility that the second attempt will get postponed. It is likely that JEE Main 2022 second attempt will be held after the CBSE class 12 board exams end.
JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 will be available on the NTA official website jeemain.nta.ac.in tentatively in the third week of January for the session 1 exam. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. It helps candidates to plan their travel to the JEE Main exam centre in advance. JEE Main city intimation slip is different from the admit card.
The official website to download JEE Main exam city slip 2025 is jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA has activated the JEE main city intimation slip 2025 link session 1 on the official website. Candidates need to use their application number and date of birth to login on the official website and download their JEE Main exam city intimation slip.
Students are not allowed to carry calculators inside the exam centre in JEE Main exam. Students can use the virtual calculator available on the screen during the exam. Virtual calculators will be available on the computer screen of students during the JEE Main exam.
