Popular colleges accepting scores of Goa CET

Goa Common Entrance Test (CET) is a state level entrance exam conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). Students who aspire to secure admission to various undergraduate engineering programmes offered in colleges and Universities in the Goa region need to appear for Goa CET.

Admissions to first year degree programmes such as Medicine, Homeopathy, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Architecture, Engineering and other allied courses offered by colleges in the state of Goa are through scores attained in Goa CET.

GCET is conducted on two days every year in the month of May. The results of Goa CET are declared in the same month. Check the important dates of Goa CET 2017 here!

Over thousands of students appear for GCET entrance exam every year. On the basis of scores attained in the exam, candidates are allotted colleges in the state. To be able to choose the best college, students need to know the popular colleges that they can choose from.

Here is a list of popular colleges which accept Goa CET scores for admission to its undergraduate programmes.

1. Goa College of Engineering

Founded in 1967, this government- run college is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Goa. The college is known for its BTech programmes in the fields of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Mining, information Technology and Electronics & Telecommunication. The annual intake capacity of the college for its seven disciplines of engineering programmes is over 500 seats.

2. Padre Conceicao College of Engineering

Affiliated to Goa University, Taleigao, Goa, Padre Conceicao College of Engineering was the first private engineering college established in 1997 in Goa. The college is popular for its four year programmes offered in the field of Electronics &Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology.

3. Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engg. & Info Tech.

Popularly known as RIT Shiroda, the college is known its teaching in Engineering and Technology in three disciplines namely Electronics &Telecommunication, Computer Science and Information Technology.

4. Don Bosco College of Engineering

Located at Fatorda in Margao district of South Goa, Don Bosco College of Engineering is renowned for its top-notch faculty and infrastructure. Various undergraduate programmes in B.Tech discipline such as Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & telecommunication and Computer Science & Engineering are offered to its students.

5. Agnel Institute of Technology and Design

The college is popular for imparting teaching and promoting training in various branches of engineering. The programmes offered by the college are Computer, Mechanical and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
