In case you are planning to get admission in an institute to pursue M.Tech, you easily could. You could appear for the post-graduation entrance exams that are conducted by a number of the well-known institutes.
A low score in the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) exam doesn’t mean that it is the end of the road. There are still various avenues open for you. Here are some options what you must know of:
Explore colleges based on GATE
- Most of the top-scoring candidates prefer to join a job at a public sector undertaking (PSU) rather than pursuing Masters in Technology (M.Tech) who have scored high numbers like better to join PSUs instead of pursuing M. Tech. This means that in case you are planning to get admission into an institute to pursue M.Tech, you easily could. Remember that the cutoff marks vary per annum. Additionally, you could also appear for the post-graduation entrance exams that are conducted by a number of the well-known institutes such as:
- Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore
- IIIT, Hyderabad
- Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DAIICT), Gandhinagar
- Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)
- Thapar University
- Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata
- Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS), Pilani
- Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad
- However, if your only goal is to get admission into Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for pursuing MTech; then the sole option that you have is to appear for GATE examination. Since I appeared for the exam last year, I would suggest that you should specialise in the topics which you think are not very challenging then gradually advance to the better ones. This manner you'll cover the whole syllabus and may score well.
- There are many career options available for ECE students after completion of their BTech. Electronics graduates can choose anybody sector. There are various sectors that provide them with an opportunity to reinforce their skills. Here I have listed a number of the career options which may be chosen by an ECE Graduate.
- Networking sector: Electronics Engineers can enter Networking sector. Some big companies such as Cisco and others provide this chance. They offer will get some handsome amount of wages too.
- IT sector: Electronics students can choose this sector, too. This sector demands knowledge of Programming languages. After gaining some experience a handsome salary can also be earned.
- Core electronics sector: This is certainly on the primary priority for the scholars. Working within the core industry is a dream of many. This industry allows them to apply their knowledge. However, it’s not a cakewalk to be employed within the core industry easily. Starting salary might be less.
- Marketing sector jobs: Marketing sector jobs demand honest communication skills and good knowledge of English. Salary range is sort of large in it.
- Government jobs: There are many students who prefer to figure in government sector job instead of adding a private-sector job. ECE students can choose government sectors job, too. You are required to beat the competition to be select in government jobs. Students can also choose bank PO exams and SSC-CGL.

MANIT M.Tech fellowship is paid every month based on your attendance. You need to fill out a simple form and get it signed by your teacher. This shows you attended your classes and did your lab assistant work. Once the department confirms this, the money goes straight to your bank account.
