Analysis of the JEE Main Chemistry Section
As per the past few years analysis of the JEE Main exam, it has been noted that Chemistry has always been on the easy to moderate side. Candidates who complete NCERT books find this section easy to attempt. This section is balanced, and questions carry equal weightage from inorganic, physical, and organic chemistry.
According to the JEE Main 2026 exam pattern, the Chemistry section will have a total of 25 questions. 20 questions will be MCQs, and the rest of the 5 questions will be Numerical Value Questions. All questions are compulsory, and there is no section-wise time limit in the JEE Main exam. Each correct answer will lead to 4 marks, and each wrong answer will have a negative marking of -1.
