Analysis of the JEE Main Maths Section
As per the analysis of JEE Main exam for Maths section from the previous years, it has been noted that JEE Main Maths sections have always been challenging and on the toughest side.
The maths section is also challenging because it has calculation questions that are very lengthy and time-consuming. This section also has a lot of tricky questions that can be very challenging for the candidates.
As per the JEE Main exam pattern 2026, the maths section will have a total of 25 questions. 20 questions will be MCQs, and the rest of the 5 questions will be Numerical Value Questions. All questions are compulsory, and there is no section-wise time limit in the JEE Main 2026 exam. Each correct answer will lead to 4 marks and each wrong answer will have negative marking of -1.
