WBJEEB has commenced the WBJEE 2025 counselling process. Candidates are advised to check the official schedule of WBJEE counselling 2025 so that they do not miss out on any important event. All qualified candidates had to complete the WBJEE 2025 counselling registration process before the final date, i.e., September 1, 2025. After the final date, the authorities do not accept any requests from the candidates.
The authorities of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will be responsible for the WBJEE counselling process. The details regarding how the WBJEE counselling will be held will be announced by the authorites on the official website. WBJEE counselling will be held online for all qualified candidates. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's obtained WBJEE rank, preferences and seat availability. JEE Main scores will also be taken into consideration for seat allotment.
No. The candidates will not be allowed to change the date and time of WBJEE counselling. Since the counselling dates will be pre-determined by the authorities, they will not accept any requests to change the WBJEE counselling dates and slots. WBJEE counselling will be held online for all eligible candidates. The authorities will also announce the WBJEE seat allotment online. However, the candidates will have to confirm their admissions physically at the allotted institutes.
WBJEE 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Students must fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for the WJEE 2024 exam. The eligibility criteria are updated online. WBJEE eligibility criteria consist of educational qualifications, age, and domicile. Those who fulfil these conditions can apply for West Bengal JEE 2024. Here we have mentioned the eligibility criteria.
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- The minimum age limit for a candidate appearing in WBJEE is 17 years as of December 31, 2024.
- The upper age limit to apply for marine engineering courses is 25 years as of December 31, 2024.
- There is no upper age limit for candidates seeking admission to other courses.
- It is compulsory to pass the Class 12 or equivalent exam through the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other relevant Council/Board securing 50 per cent aggregate marks.
- Physics and Mathematics are taken into account for admission. Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biology/Technical will be held as additional subjects.
- Candidates coming under the reserved category will not be under the percentage regulation and can apply for the exam with 45 per cent aggregate marks.
Note: Candidates seeking admission need not be in the domicile of West Bengal to appear in WBJEE 2024. However, it may be required at the time of admission to government colleges of West Bengal.

Yes, candidates who participated in previous rounds of WBJEE counselling will have to pay an additional fee of INR 200. For fresh registration, candidates need to pay counselling fee of INR 1,000. WBJEE counselling fee has to be paid online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. If candidates fail to pay fee before final date, they cannot register for counselling process.
During the counselling process, the WBJEE seat allotment will depend on various factors related to the entrance examination. The authorities will allot seats to the candidates according to their obtained WBJEE/JEE Main rank, preferences, category and seat availability. Since the order of preferences is an important factor in the seat allotment process, the candidates are advised to submit as many choices as possible during the WBJEE counselling registration process.
There are many candidates who will not be able to participate in second round of WBJEE counselling due to eligibility criteria. Candidates who have been allotted their first preference in Round 1 of WBJEE counselling cannot participate in next rounds. Unregistered candidates can register and fill out their choices for mop-up round of WBJEE counselling.

WBJEE 2024 Application Form
WBJEE has closed the WBJEE 2024 application process at wbjeeb.nic.in. All candidates had to complete their WBJEE registration process online. While filling out the WBJEE application form 2024, the candidates had to enter their contact information, academic details, and other details such as language for question paper, choice of paper, and exam centre. In case of any mistake in the WBJEE application form, the candidates could correct their forms through the correction facility until February 9, 2024.

WBJEE 2024 Exam Pattern
The most important part of preparing for any state-level or national-level entrance test is the exam pattern.
