JEE Main 2026 Eligibility Criteria to Fill Form
NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 eligibility criteria along with the information brochure/notification in October. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions for JEE Main here, based on last year's details, to ensure they meet the requirements to apply for the exam like JEE Mains age limit, percentage in class 12 etc.
- Candidates must have passed the Class 12 exam in 2024/2025 or are appearing in 2026.
- No age limit.

Documents Required for JEE Mains 2026 Registration

Essential Guidelines for Images and Documents
- A colour or black and white photo should be used. The candidates are allowed to have spectacles in the photograph. Sunglasses and caps are not allowed.
- Unclear photos will not be accepted. The uploaded photo should be clear and adhere to the recommended file size and format as specified in the guidelines provided by NTA.
- The signature should be clearly done on white paper. The size and format of the uploaded signature should comply with the guidelines.

Yes, candidates can upload black & white photograph in JEE Mains application form. There is no restriction on the type of photograph. The conditions that candidates need to fulfill for uploading the photograph are
- Photograph should be in JPEG/JPG format
- Dimention has to be 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
- Size has to be 10 KB to 200 KB

JEE Main 2026 Application Fee

The given steps have to be followed to fill JEE Main 2026 application form. Candidates are advised to fill in all the details in the application carefully and not make any mistakes.
Step 1 Registration: In the first step, candidates must complete the JEE Main 2026 registration process at jeemain.nta.nic.in. After clicking on ‘New Registration’, candidates will have to check the instructions and register by submitting the given details:
- Personal Details – Name, Parent’s Name, Date of Birth, Gender
- Present Address
- Permanent Address
- Create password
A strong password has to be generated by candidates. After confirming all of the provided details, the JEE Main 2026 application number will be generated and displayed on the screen. The application number has to be kept safe since it will be required during the entire admission process.
