Documents Needed as Reference to Fill JEE Mains Application Form 2027

The following documents will be needed as reference to fill out the JEE Mains form. They are not for uploading purposes:

• Aadhaar Card: Ensure name, gender, and date of birth match your Class 10 records exactly to avoid DigiLocker/UIDAI authentication errors.
• Class 10 Marksheet / Certificate: For candidate name, parent names, date of birth, roll number, and board name.
• Class 12 Marksheet / Admit Card: For board roll number, school address, and passing status (for droppers/passed candidates).
• Category Certificate (Gen-EWS / OBC-NCL / SC / ST): For entering the certificate number, date of issue, and issuing officer details.
• Active Mobile Number and Email ID: Required for receiving registration OTPs, credentials, and NTA updates (must remain active throughout counselling).
• Net Banking / Debit / Credit / UPI Details: For paying the application fee

Live Photo Capture in JEE Main 2027 Registration Process

NTA recently introduced "Live Photo Capture" in JEE Main registration process. Candidates need to capture their live photo while filling the online form. Check details below:

• For capturing a live photograph, candidates should switch on their camera or connect their webcam to the device used for filling the Application Form.
• If the device does not support a webcam, the QR code on the right can be scanned by the candidate using a mobile device/tablet, etc.
• Candidates should ensure there is a light-colored background with proper lighting, and 80% face visibility (including ears, without a mask).

How to Upload Scanned Documents in JEE Main 2027 Form

Important Instructions for Uploading the JEE Mains Registration Documents

• The NTA reserves the right to verify the details and photographs of candidates.
• Candidates are advised to update their information on their Aadhaar Card, which includes their recent photograph, name, date of birth, gender, address, and other relevant details. For guidance on updating Aadhaar information, please refer to the UIDAI Guidelines.
• JEE Main Aadhaar authentication is optional. The candidates can also use PAN/Passport for ID authentication.
• For candidates with disabilities (PwD/PwBD), the details from the UDID Card that is uploaded will be verified through the UDID portal of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DePwD).
• Candidates who do not possess a UDID Card should upload a Disability Certificate in the appropriate format. The NTA will verify this certificate with the issuing authority.

What Happens If You Upload the Wrong Document?

Uploading another person's photograph or signature, or a tampered document, can lead to rejection of the application form. If it is discovered at a later stage that the candidate has used someone else's documents, then he/she may be disqualified for admission under NTA's UFM rules and shall be dealt with according to the rules. The correction window may not allow the document re-upload facility.
