JEE Main 2026 Notification - The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the first notification on JEE Mains 2026 on the website, nta.ac.in. The public notice, dated September 29, communicates 3 key details on the JEE Main exam 2026. The authority has announced the official website for JEE Main 2026, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The official website will be used to communicate all the updates on the exam. Candidates will be able to access the online registration link, syllabus pdf, information brochure, exam schedule and more on the official website. NTA has also announced the tentative JEE Main 2026 exam schedule. The registration will commence in October 2025, while the exam will be held in its usual, bi-annual format. The JEE Main 2026 exam will be held in January and April 2026. Lastly, the JEE Main 2026 notification also advised candidates to get their documents updated before the JEE Mains 2026 registration process.

Students are not allowed to carry calculators inside the exam centre in JEE Main exam. Students can use the virtual calculator available on the screen during the exam. Virtual calculators will be available on the computer screen of students during the JEE Main exam.

Q:   Will there be any break in JEE Main 2026 exam?

The total duration of JEE Main exam is 3 hours and the exam is conducted continuous without any break. Candidates have to enter the exam hall as per the scheduled time and can leave exam hall only after the completion of paper. The exam will have a total of 75 questions from 3 subjects, Physics Chemistry and Mathematics.

JEE Main Exam Date 2026

NTA will release the JEE Main 2026 dates on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The session 1 exam will likely be conducted in January last week. The JEE Main 2026 exam date session 2 will be April first week. The JEE Main 2026 application form will be released in november. Candidates are advised to keep checking this page regularly for all updates related to JEE Main 2026 exam dates and schedule of other events related to the exam.

Q:   When will NTA release JEE Main exam city slip 2026?
A:

JEE Main city intimation slip 2026 will be available on the NTA official website jeemain.nta.ac.in tentatively in the third week of January for the session 1 exam. JEE Mains City slip have details about the JEE Main exam city in which the candidate is allotted the centre to appear in the exam and the date of exam. It helps candidates to plan their travel to the JEE Main exam centre in advance. JEE Main city intimation slip is different from the admit card.

Q:   I am a diabetic student. Will eatable items like candy, chocolate be allowed for me to JEE Main exam?
A:

JEE Main aspirants who are Diabetic are allowed to carry sugar tablets, fruits like bananas, oranges, or apples, and a transparent water bottle as per NTA. Diabetic students are advised to keep a check on their health before and in between the exams to avoid any health issues.

JEE Main Syllabus PDF

The JEE Main 2026 syllabus pdf will be published on the website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The authority will release the JEE Main syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, comprising all the topics that will be tested in the exam. It is important for students to prepare as per the syllabus to make sure they cover all the topics. Last year, the authorities made major changes to the JEE Main exam pattern by removing the optional questions from Section B making all the questions in the paper compulsory. NTA is expected to prepare this year’s JEE Main question paper in a similar format. However, any changes to the syllabus or pattern will be informed through the NTA JEE notification 2026.

The authority will soon release the JEE Main application form 2026. As per the JEE Main 2026 advisory notification, the tentative start date for JEE Mains registration is October 2025. The JEE registration is held in online mode only. The authority will activate the candidate registration portal on the official website, and candidates will have to complete all the steps to successfully apply for the exam. The authority will provide complete details on the guidelines, step-by-step process, category-wise application fee and the required details through the JEE Main notification 2026 pdf only.

Yes. Students with valid JEE Main scores can apply for admissions through the WBJEE counselling. However, these students will be eligible for allotment only in the 10% approved seats offered by the self-financing colleges and institutes participating in the state-level counselling.

Yes the SRMJEEE paper pattern is similar to JEE Main however, the difficulty level is not equivalent to JEE main and the question paper is adjusted to moderate level difficulty level which will be easy for most students.
