What is AILET Exam?

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by the university. The AILET exam is conducted offline at the allotted test centres.

Unlike CLAT, which opens admission to multiple law schools, AILET is specific to NLU Delhi, making the competition intense due to limited seats. Apart from NLU Delhi, AILET scores are not accepted by other NLUs.

Q:   Is there negative marking in AILET Exam?
A: 

Candidates must note that the AILET Exam 2027 has negative marking too. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark. Candidates must be very careful while attempting the questions paper of AILET 2027. Candidates are advised to solve mock tests and previous years' question papers to get hand on things. Candidates must keep track of time while practicing for AILET 2027 exam.

Q:   Will Section A and Section B in the question paper of AILET LLM, be provided together?

Candidates must note that the AILET LLM 2027 Exam pattern was changed last year. The main subjects of AILET LLM 2027 question paper will be as under: Different branches of law (Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Law of Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, Property Law, Company Law, Public International Law, Tax Law, Environmental Law, Labour & Industrial Law).

These questions were related to topics, such as Supreme Court of India, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). 
A large number of questions in the section were based on topics related to international relations, such as international alliances, agreements and G20 Summit. 

Other main topics covered in the GK section of the previous year's AILET question paper were awards, sports, geography of India and books and authors.

AILET 2027 Admit Card

NLU Delhi will release the AILET 2027 admit card online a few weeks before the exam. Candidates must download it using their registration credentials. Without an AILET hall ticket, candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre.

  • Enter registration number & password to log in.
  • Click on the AILET admit card 2027 link.

AILET 2027 Exam Day Guidelines

On the day of the exam, candidates must follow the AILET exam day guidelines, which will be given on the AILET hall ticket. Check the AILET 2027 exam day instructions below.

  • Candidates must carry the AILET admit card and also a valid and original photo ID proof to the test center. Both the ID proof and the admit card will be checked at the entry gate of the AILET 2027 test center. Candidates can carry documents such as an Aadhaar Card, a Driver's License, a Passport, etc.
  • In case the photograph printed on the admit card is not clear, such candidates will be required to carry an attested photograph.
  • For candidates belonging to the PwD category, it is also mandatory to carry their disability certificate.
  • Since AILET 2027 is an offline exam, candidates are required to carry a ball-point pen of blue and black colours to the centre. Candidates will not be allowed to use a pen of any other colour for writing on the admit card or filling in the details on the OMR sheet.
  • Candidates can carry their water bottles. However, the water bottle is required to be transparent. Electronic items such as a smart watch, mobile phone, etc are not allowed.

AILET 2027 Result

The AILET 2027 result will be made available online only at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The candidates who will appear for the AILET 2027 exam can download the AILET result a few days after the exams. AILET result will be based on the final answer key. Candidates  can download the AILET result 2027 in the following manner
