What is AILET Exam?

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by the university. The AILET exam is conducted offline at the allotted test centres.

Unlike CLAT, which opens admission to multiple law schools, AILET is specific to NLU Delhi, making the competition intense due to limited seats. Apart from NLU Delhi, AILET scores are not accepted by other NLUs.

Q:   Which subject has the maximum weightage in the AILET exam?
A:

The Logical reasoning section carries the maximum weightage; i.e. 50 per cent in the AILET exam. Reasoning is actually a combination of both verbal logic, as well as analytical reasoning. So, one part is full of numbers and data, while the other is made of words and puzzles. Reasoning needs ample practice. Books by MK Pandey and RS Aggarwal will suffice. For Data Interpretation (DI) questions, the trick lies in forming the table. Once this is done, the rest of the questions flow automatically. Hence, the students are advised to prepare this subject carefully and give special attention.

Q:   How should one prepare for AILET Exam?
A:

You should take regular mock tests and soleve previous years question papers. One mock test each day will help you in revising your concepts apart from building your confidence.
The following books are highly recommended by the experts:
1. Pratiyogita Darpan.
2. GK Today.
3. Manorama Year Book.
4. Pearsons Concise GK.
5. Analytical and Logical Reasoning by RS Aggarwal.
6. Competition Success Review.
7. Wren and Martin.

Q:   What documents are allowed as a photo ID card to carry along with AILET 2027 admit card?
A:
