Will CLAT 2021 be held in online or offline mode?

Not much has changed since last year, as social distancing is still the need of the hour to curb the COVID-19 virus. Conducting the law entrance exam in offline mode increases the chances of spreading the virus as almost all the stakeholders including the aspirants, invigilators and other exam centre authorities will be involved in touching the CLAT papers and other important items.

Conducting the CLAT exam in online mode, on the other hand, will ensure no-touch arrangements wherein candidates can easily give the exam on the assigned system without having it touched by multiple people.

However, the Consortium has stuck to the offline mode of the exam. Also, like every year, the law exam will be held as a centre-based exam conducted at multiple cities across India.

When will CLAT 2021 be held?

As stated above, the CLAT 2021 exam will be held on July 23. The Consortium of NLUs will resume the law admission process through CLAT exam similar to every year. The CLAT registrations 2021 will end soon. Candidates can fill the CLAT application form latest by June 15.

Many students feel the AILET exam is a bit tougher than CLAT because it has fewer seats and high competition. The AILET syllabus focuses more on reasoning and legal aptitude. Both tests need good preparation, but AILET 2027 usually has a higher cutoff for AILET colleges under NLU Delhi.

No. Since IIULER has officially joined the Consortium of NLUs, it no longer conducts a separate entrance test for admission to IIULER BA LLB (Hons.) course. Admission is strictly based on the CLAT (UG) merit list. If you miss the CLAT window, you generally cannot apply for that academic year.
