Karnataka PGCET 2020 Analysis

The Karnataka PGCET 2020 exam for MBA admission has been conducted on October 14. The exam was in expected lines. The overall difficulty level of the exam was labelled as moderate. In terms of section-wise difficulty level, General Knowledge section was considered as the toughest in comparison of the other sections and Reasoning and General Intelligence was the easiest. Each question carries one mark and there is no negative marking scheme. There is no sectional time limit as well.

Karnataka PGCET 2020 Analysis

Now let us proceed to the section-wise analysis of Karnataka PGCET 2020. The following table represents the sectional difficulty level of the exam.

This section was predominantly vocabulary based. The major topics from which the questions were asked were Sentence correction, Antonyms & Synonyms and Idioms and Phrases. The question types were odd man out, fill in the blanks, grammar, etc. The overall difficulty level of this section can be termed as moderate.

General Knowledge

The questions were from an array of topics from both current affairs and static GK. The topics included Politics, Sports, Environment, Society and Culture, Economics, International Relations, History, Science and Technology, among others. As compared to the other three sections, this was the toughest section.

Test of Reasoning and General Intelligence

The topics from which this section’s questions were asked were Logic, Puzzles, Verbal Ability and Diagrams & Analogy. The questions were mainly set based. The difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate. As compared to the other sections, this was the easiest.

Quantitative Analysis

Majority of the questions of the QA section were asked from Arithmetic, Statistics and Data Analysis and Interpretation. As compared to previous years, this section was of easier difficulty level. Overall, the section’s difficulty level was moderate.

The scores of Karnataka PGCET 2020 will be accepted by 178 colleges across Karnataka. The answer key is expected to be released by the fourth week of October and the result is likely to be declared in November.
