According to the latest updates, OJEE 2020 is likely to be conducted after JEE Main 2020. JEE Main is scheduled to be conducted between July 18, 2020 and July 23, 2020. The authorities have decided to conduct Odisha Joint Entrance Exam 2020 after July 23. OJEE was scheduled to be conducted on May 2, 2020 but due to the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent countrywide lockdown, the exam dates were extended until further notice. The final exam dates are yet to be announced. OJEE registration window closed on June 7, 2020.
A senior official from Skill Development and Technical Education said, "The JEE (Main) test is scheduled to be held between July 18 and July 23 across the country. If the Centre goes ahead with the scheduled date, we will conduct OJEE by the end of July or the first week of August."

Looking at the prevailing situation, OJEE Cell has decided to conduct Special OJEE for B.Tech courses for those students who were not able to appear for JEE Main. Applicants will be offered admissions on the extra seats left after the completion of the first phase of OJEE 2020 counselling.

How to Apply for Special OJEE 2020?
- Visit the official website of OJEE
- Select form F and register as new users by filling in details such as name of the applicant, date of birth, contact number, etc.
- An application ID and password will be generated which can be used for future logins
- Login using the login credentials and fill the complete application form
- Pay an application fee of Rs 1000 using a credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI or other banking wallets
- Take a print out of the confirmation receipt and OJEE application form

OJEE and JEE syllabus is somewhat same and different in some places. The OJEE syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is different from JEE. In JEE, the physics syllabus includes topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, etc. These topics require knowledge of physics topics.

Syllabus for OJEE remains same every year. Minor changes can be done but the core subjects of OJEE syllabus for MBA, BTech, MCA, MPHarma, BPharma, BCAT, etc. remains the same.

There is no fixed OJEE cut off marks declared OJEE Cell. But, based on the previous year trends:
- Students should have at least 25% of total marks to qualify
- SC/ST category students should have at least 20% of total marks
