Commonly asked questions
Q:   Is MAH CET MBA CAP cut off-based?
A:

Yes, MAH MBA CET counselling is cut off-based which is held after the result announcement. MAH CET counselling is conducted round-wise. In this process, candidates have to register online, participate in online counselling and confirm admission by submission of documents and final admission by making fee payment. After that, the admission cell, prepares cut offs and seat allotment lists category wise for MBA/MS admission. Candidates from outside Maharashtra state are also eligible for MAH CET CAP under the All India Seats category. The registration, exam and counselling processes for All India Seats category students are same as that of Maharashtra State category candidates.

Q:   What is SNAP cutoff for SCIT Pune?
A:

SCIT Pune cutoff for the two MBA courses is based on SNAP scores. SNAP scores are accepted by the 15 Symbiosis colleges. It is mandatory for candidates to meet the cutoff in order to be eligible for the further round of admissions. SCIT is one of the 15 Symbiosis colleges that accept SNAP scores for MBA admission.

The expected SNAP cutoff percentile for the SIBM Pune MBA admission is around 97-98.5 percentile, while for other colleges, it may be lower than 98 percentile.

Q:   When will SNAP 2025 cut off be announced?
A:

The date of SNAP cut off announcement is never communicated by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, as the selection process is conducted by the constituent institutes individually. However, it has been seen over the years that the SNAP cut off are released about a week after exam result declaration. The SNAP cut offs are available through login at the websites of SIU institutes as candidates who pass the SNAP exam, have to fill the personal interview form based on their score and college cut off. The SNAP cut off usually ranges between 55-98 percentile. The cut offs for SIMB Pune is the highest every year and the cut offs for SIHS Pune is the lowest.

Q:   What is SNAP percentile?
A:

SNAP percentile means a candidate's rank against all test takers. It is calculated on the basis of marks scored. For example, total marks in SNAP is 60, so any candidate getting the highest score out of 60 will get 99.99 percentile. Many a times, more than one candidates get highest score so their percentiles are same.

Yes, six months are enough to prepare for SNAP exam. Divide six months into two parts; first three months for syllabus coverage and last three months for mock test practice and revision.

Coaching certainly helps in exam preparation better. It provides direction, guidance and discipline. So, if you can't do self study, you should opt for coaching.

Yes, three months can be enough to prepare for SNAP, if you have appeared for it earlier or as simultaneously preparing for CAT, XAT and other exams. But if you are planning to appear for SNAP for the first time and not preparing for other MBA entrances, then you should devote atleast 6 months.

No, only studying the SNAP books will not be enough for preparation. You will have to practice sample questions, mock tests and previous years' questions too.
