Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) will conduct TG ICET 2026 exam for admission to MBA and MCA courses in the state. TGICET 2026 exam will be held online with 200 MCQs collectively from Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability section. Candidates securing a minimum of 25 per cent qualify for the admissions.

Know All About TG ICET 2026 Exam

TG ICET 2026: Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, has released TS ICET hall ticket for all candidates who applied for the exam on or before May 5. Currently, the registration window for candidates to apply with a late fee of INR 10,000 is also open on the exam website, icet.tgche.ac.in. Hall ticket for candidates applying after May 5 will be issued soon. MGU will conduct TS ICET 2026 exam across a total of three shifts. First day of TS ICET 2026 exam, i.e. May 13 will have 2 exam shifts (forenoon and afternoon). Whereas, the second day of TG ICET 2026 (May 14) exam hosts only the forenoon shift of the exam.

TG ICET 2026 exam is to be conducted across 20 different regional test zones in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. According to the TG ICET exam pattern, candidates appearing for the TS ICET 2026 exam find a total of three sections, namely Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Candidates find as many as 200 questions spread across these three sections. TG ICET Eligibility Criteria 2026

  1. Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree course, irrespective of the discipline, with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved categories)
  2. Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet the criteria for local/non-local status as outlined in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations of Admission) Order, 1974.
  3. Foreign nationals seeking admission through TG ICET 2026 must meet the general and specific eligibility criteria set by the respective Universities.

A good score in TSICET can depend on numerous factors. Candidates scoring above 100 marks is considered to have obtained a good score in ICET.

Candidates need to obtain 25 per cent marks in TS ICET exam to qualify for admission process. General catyegory candidates must have 50 marks out of 200 to qualify. Whereas, there is no minimum passing marks required for TS ICET based admissions.

Q:   Will I be allowed inside TS ICET exam centre with a digital copy of the hall ticket?
A: 

No. TGCHE officials do not allow any candidates inside the TG ICET exam centre if they do not have a hard copy of the admit card. Telangana ICET hall ticket grants entry inside the examination hall. Candidates with a digital copy will also face denial in entry inside the exam centre.

Q:   How much time is required to prepare for TG ICET exam?
A: 

The time needed to prepare for the TS ICET exam depends on how familiar someone is with the syllabus. If a person is starting from zero, about 5 to 6 months of regular preparation will be needed. This provides enough time to cover all sections, practice questions, and revise properly. Those having basic understanding of the topics or have prepared for similar exams before, 2 to 3 months are enough for ICET preparation

Q:   Can I get the TG ICET admit card offline?
A: 

No. Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) does not facilitate the issuance of the ICET exam hall ticket in an offline mode. Candidates are only able to download the TG ICET admit card online from the official website. The conducting body does not antertain requests pertaining to issuance of the admit card offline at convener office. Alternatively, any email requests are also not entertained for sharing the hall ticket via email.

Q:   Will TSICET question paper have descriptive type questions?
A: 
TSICET exam does not have any descriptive type questions. All the questions in the TSICET question paper are objective type questions, also known as Multiple Choice Questions. Kakatiya University designs the TSICET question paper to ask questions with four answer options. Out of these four options, one answer is correct, while other three answers are incorrect. Candidates have to choose the right answer to fetch 1 mark. There will be no negative marking for any wrong answers. All 200 questions in the TSICET exam are objective type.
Q:   What is the marking scheme of TSICET exam?
A: 
As per the Telangana ICET marking scheme for every correct response marked, candidates will fetch 1 mark, irrespective of the section. Additionally, the marking scheme of TSICET exam states no negative marking in case of incorrect responses marked by the candidate. Moreover, there is no negative marking for questions left unattempted. All 200 questions of TSICET exam will have the common marking scheme discussed above. With no sectional time limit in the online exam, candidates can navigate across sections and questions of TSICET exam.

MGU, Nalgonda has not notified about any change in the issuance date for TSICET hall ticket. Any change in the date for ICET hall ticket download is notified on the official exam website.
