It is expected that the NEET re-exam 2024 answer key will be released by experts from top coaching institutes soon. There were four sets of the NEET 2024 question paper. This article of Shiksha.com brings a detailed NEET 2024 question paper analysis and answer keys.
Although the questions are the same in all Sets of the NEET question paper, the order of the sections and questions vary from set to set. The different order of the sections and questions ensure that there is no malpractice conducted during the exam. Even if some questions are absolutely different in separate Sets or languages, the topics and chapters covered and difficulty level remain similar to ensure normalisation. Hence, it can be said that NTA Sets a common question paper carrying 200 questions, after which the questions are distributed across four Sets and six subsets of the NEET question paper. The subjects, and the questions within the subjects are shuffled for each of the NEET question paper Sets. This allows a parity in terms of topics covered and difficulty level, as well as allows avoidance of malpractice.
The question types in the NEET question paper is objective and multiple-choice type. Each question carries four answer options. The difficulty level of the questions range from moderate to tough. The questions are asked from the prescribed NEET syllabus. Since NEET is a paper-pencil-based test (PBT), test-takers are given OMR sheet wherein they have to mark the correct answer option through blue or black ballpoint pen provided at the exam centre. While leaving the exam centre, candidates will have to submit the test booklet or the OMR sheet and rough sheet booklet to the invigilator. They will be allowed to carry the NEET question paper with them, outside the exam hall.

NEET 2024 Re-exam Analysis
The NEET 2024 re-exam analysis states that the difficulty level was moderate to tough, similar to the original test. Now let us take a look at the subject-wise NEET 2024 subject-wise analysis.
NEET 2024 Re-exam Analysis for Physics
Physics was the toughest section of the exam. The questions were mostly numerical-based. The topics from which most of the questions came were Mechanics, Electromagnetism, Optics and Modern Physics.
NEET 2024 Re-exam Analysis for Chemistry
The difficulty level of the Chemistry section was moderate. There was a balanced mix of physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry. The highest weightage was given to 'Organic Chemistry: Some Basic Principles and Techniques.
NEET 2024 Re-exam Analysis for Biology
The Biology section was the easiest in the question paper for NEET 2024. The Botany section was tougher than that of the Zoology section. On the other hand, the Zoology section was mostly asked from the Class 12 syllabus. Maximum questions were asked from the Human Physiology topic and the Ecology section had the lowest weightage.
The total number of questions in the NEET 2026 question paper will be 180, all of which are compulsory. Physics and Chemistry will have 45 questions each, Biology subject will have 90 questions, 45 each from Botany and Zoology. The total number of questions has been reduced from 200 to 180. The optional questions have been removed this year. Moreover, each subject will have single section, with 45 questions. Each question will have four marks and in case of wrong answer, there will be negative marking of one mark for each wrong answer.
As per the NEET exam pattern, the examination will only have objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Hence, there is no possibility of having descriptive questions in NEET. Moreover, given the fact that it is an entrance exam, there is not much significance of the descriptive questions or theoritical knowledge. Each question will carry four answer options and test-takers will have to select the correct answer option and mark it on the OMR sheet.
According to the NEET exam pattern, a question for which more than one response is marked on the OMR sheet will be considered incorrect. For such questions, one mark would be deducted. Hence, candidates should be careful while answering on the OMR sheet. They should solve the questions separately on the space provided for rough work, and then shade the answer option on the OMR sheet to avoid such errors. Revision after completing the exam is also important to avoid unwarranted negative marking.
The Zoology section of NEET 2024 was easy to moderate. Nearly 30 per cent of the questions can be considered difficult. This section was mainly dominated by questions from Animal Husbandry, Biotechnology, Human Reproduction and Biomolecules.

There are generally four Sets of NEET question papers, which are further segregated into six parts. However, in NEET 2025, there were four sets of the NEET question paper, which were named as 45, 46, 47, and 48, and these were not further divided into six subsets, which was followed till the previous year. The names of the NEET 2024 question paper Sets and codes are Q, R, S and T. For the NEET 2024 re-exam, the question paper sets were A, B, C and D. The multiple Sets and codes in the NEET question papers ensure that there is no malpractice in the conduct of the exam. The names of the Sets and codes of the regional NEET question papers are different from the English ones. While distributing the question papers of NEET invigilators had to ensure that they did not give the same set of question papers to two consecutive candidates. Once candidates are given the NEET question paper by invigilators, they need to check whether the question paper and test booklet, or answer sheet, is of the same code. In case of a mismatch, they need to bring the matter to the invigilator's notice. In case they submit the NEET test booklet with a different code from that of the NEET question paper, their exam will stand cancelled.
