NEET Counselling Choice Filling and Locking Process

The NEET UG 2021 counselling Round 1 choice filling process has started today, on January 20. The registration process had commenced on January 19. The last date to fill and lock the choices is January 24, 12 noon and 4 pm respectively. Like the other processes, the NEET UG 2021 counselling choice filling process will also be conducted online. Candidates will have to visit the official website of MCC and log in with their registration credentials to complete the process.

Prior to filling and locking the choices, candidates must ensure that they have completed the NEET 2021 counselling registration process by paying the registration fee. Unless they pay the fee, the choice filling window will not be activated.

Step by Step Process for NEET Counselling Choice Filling and Locking

Here we bring the step by step process of completing the NEET Counselling Choice Filling process:

  • Visit to the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at www.mcc.nic.in.

  • Click on the ‘Online Registration’ tab located on the bottom of the page.

  • Login with the registration credentials.

  • Click on the link of Choice Filling.

  • Select the programmes.

  • Go through the list of participating institutes and available seats.

  • Enter the choice of seats from the participating institutes as per preference on the basis of which seat will be allotted.

  • Check the entered choices carefully and submit.

  • Candidates can modify, add or delete choices before till they are locked.

  • Click on the lock button.

  • If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule.

  • Take a printout of the locked choices.

Candidates must note that once the choice locking process is completed, there will not be any option to revoke or change the choices. Hence, they must be careful during this process.

MCC will verify the details entered by the candidates from January 25 to January 26. The seat allotment process will be done from January 27 to January 28. The final seat allotment seat for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2021 will be declared on January 29. Based on the seat allotment, candidates will have to accept the offer and report to the institutes between January 30 to February 4.

No, students can't get admission in Government Medical College, Ernakulam without NEET. The college selects on an entrance basis considers NEET UG/ PG scores to shortlist the students. However, students may contact the college to confirm whether state-level exams are also accepted.
