NEET Application Form 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) started the registrations for the NEET UG 2026 exam on February 8, 2026. The NEET last date to apply online is March 8, 2026. Candidates who want to appear for the NEET UG 2026 exam must ensure they complete the application process on or before the last date. To apply for the exam, candidates first need to register at neet.nta.nic.in, fill the online form, upload the documents and pay the application fees to apply for the exam. NEET Form 2026: How to Capture Live Photo?

This year, the NTA has introduced the live photo capture on the NEET UG 2026 form. While uploading the documents, candidates first need to capture their live photos and then attach the other required documents. Candidates need to ensure that they follow the NTA NEET guidelines for live photo capture otherwise their form may get rejected. Candidates need to use the process given below to capture live photos-

  • Candidates need to switch on their cameras or connect the webcam to the device used for filling the NEET application form.
  • If the device does not support the webcam, then candidates need to scan the QR code on the right side of the form for the same.
  • There should be light-coloured background.
  • The NTA will match the captured live photo with the Aadhaar database.

NEET Application Form Correction 2026

NTA will open the NEET application correction facility for the registered candidates, wherein they are given a chance to make necessary corrections or changes. The NEET 2026 application correction window will be active from March 10 to 12, 2026. Only those candidates submitting the NEET application form 2026 by paying the requisite application fee within the stipulated date will be eligible to avail of the NEET application correction facility.   • Visit neet.nta.nic.in.
  • Log in with the NEET 2026 registration details.

  • Read the instructions.
  • Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number for verification.

Q:   How to retrieve NEET application number or password in case I forget it?
A: 

Once the NEET registration process is completed and the login credentials are generated, candidates are advised to save and preserve those for future usage. In case candidates are unable to login, they should first check whether the NEET application number, password and security pin or captcha entered are correct or not. In case either of the information is wrong, it will not be possible to login. In that case, they have to click on the Forgot Your Password or Forgot Your Application tabs and retrieve it either through Security Question or through Reset Link sent to their registered email address. In case of retreiving the NEET application number, they have to enter their names, email address and the Security Pin and submit. The application number will be sent to their registered email address. 

Q:   I am facing trouble in filling up the NEET application form. What should I do?
A: 

Candidates can face problem while filling the NEET application form or while paying the application fee. This may be because of the server issue or high traffic on the website. NTA advises candidates to check internet connection while filling up the application form. In case the issue prevails, one should connect with the assigned person on the helpline number given in the NEET information bulletin.

Compared to last year, the number of NEET 2025 applicants reduced. According to NTA, 22,09,318 candidates appeared for the exam. In the year 2024, 23,33,297 candidates had appeared. 

Q:   When is the NEET application form released?

In general, the NEET application form is released two to three months prior to the exam date. Hence, if the exam is scheduled for the first week of May, the application form is released in February. The last date to submit the application form is generally a month after the release of the registration link. Last year, the NEET 2025 exam was held on May 4, 2024, and the application process started on February 7, 2025. In 2024, the NEET exam was held on May 5, 2024, and the application process began on February 9, 2024.

Q:   My father's name in Aadhar Card and 10th marksheet are a bit different. Is it necessary to get it corrected for NEET UG application?
A: 

Yes, it is necessary to correct your father's name in the Aadhaar card as per your Class 10 mark sheet before filling the NEET application form. Since the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the notification mentioning the mandate of Aadhaar Card for the application process. NTA has stated, "Aspirants are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details (especially their name and date of birth as per 10th passing certificate), including facial recognition data, are up to date for an optimal experience during registration process and verification processes. This can be done at the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Center." Also, this year, the Aadhaar number will be used to auto-fill the NEET application form to reduce manual errors. Hence, it is all the more important to correct personal and educational details in the Aadhaar Card before the application process commencement. 

Q:   I have the filled the NEET form, but it is showing that it's in process. What can I do?
A: 
Check whether you had completed the fill up process or not. If you had filled up and your application is complete then you must had application number. You can check from another device. You go to any internet cafe and give your application number password date of birth and required details and get your application form print out.
Q:   The session expired while submitting the application form for NEET. What should I do?
A: 

Candidates need to complete the NEET application form in thirty minutes of logging in to the registered account. One should save the application form pages after completing them. Applicants should keep all the information ready before registering for the exam before the session expires.

Q:   I am a dropper is the gap certificate necessary to fill the NEET application form?
A: 

A GAP Certificate is not required when filling out the NEET application form. Also, a GAP Certificate is not required for All India Quota (AIQ) or State Quota (SQ) counselling. The NEET UG 2026 admit card has not been released yet. The NTA will release NEET admit card or hall ticket around April 29, 2026, that is, four days before the exam.
