The National Testing Agency (NTA) invited registrations for the NEET UG 2026 exam online. Candidates needed to register and fill the NEET application form 2026 from February 8 to March 8, 2026. As per the NEET information bulletin 2026, Aadhaar was required for NEET 2026 registration. Applying for the NEET 2026 through the Aadhaar card will make the entire process easier for candidates. Candidates who apply through Aadhaar Card are not required to upload additional documents on the NEET form. Those who don’t have the document should apply for the same as the application form is available at neet.nta.nic.in.

NTA NEET 2026 Document Advisory: Is Aadhaar Mandatory for NEET?
Aadhaar Card is not mandatory for NEET UG 2026. Candidates can apply for the exam using any other valid Photo ID proof. However, it is suggested that to avoid the need for submitting additional documents, candidates should consider using their own Aadhaar Card. As per the NTA NEET 2026 Document Advisory, the Aadhaar must contain the below mentioned details-
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
- Biometric information (wherever applicable)
Apart from this, the document update advisory states that candidates should get their UDID Card (for PwD category) and category certificate updated to fill the NEET 2026 application form.
