NEET Cut off 2025 (Released): Check NEET UG Passing/Qualifying Cutoff Score & Percentile

The NEET cutoff score or ranks for Government medical colleges vary for each year and rounds. Moreover, the cutoff for the top ranked colleges is higher than that of the Government colleges with comparatively lower scores. For the General category, NEET cutoff for Government colleges is generally above a score of 700 or above. For some Government colleges with a comparatively lower rank, there might be multiple rounds of NEET counselling and the final round cutoff may be around 450-500. Candidates must note that the NEET cutoff marks for Government medical colleges mentioned here is indicative and absolute. The cutoff marks and ranks change every year and vary based on factors such as number of seats, number of eligible candidates, number of participants in the counselling round, to name a few. 

The cutoff for NEET is released along with the result or the scorecard. The NEET cutoff or qualifying marks vary for each category, which are General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD/PH. Along with candidates' scores, percentiles and All India Rank (AIR), NTA also indicates the Qualifying Status of candidates in the scorecard. The qualifying NEET 2025 cutoff marks for General category candidates is 144. Last year it was 162. As expected, the NEET 2025 cutoff for General category candidates is lower than last year. The reason is, the difficulty level of NEET was tougher this year as compared to last year. The competition level has become even higher, along with the increase in the number of seats.

It is possible to get admission to a private medical college with a score of 300 in NEET. For a government medical college, one should ideally obtain a score above 600. The NEET cutoff for the Government medical colleges varies as per the institute rank and round of counselling. Hence, it can be said that a score of 300 in NEET may not be sufficient for admission to Government medical colleges. As per past years' trends, a score between 500 to 700 or above is in the cutoff marks for NEET.

Dr Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College cutoff 2022 was 28791 for General category candidates in All India quota for MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Dr Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College admission 2023 to MBBS course is based on NEET UG scores followed by NEET UG Counselling 2023. Candidates seeking admission to Dr Shankarrao Chavan Government Medical College must have a valid NEET UG cutoff in order to be eligible for NEET UG Couselling. The MCC, which is the conducting body of NEET UG Counselling will be conducting counselling in multiple rounds. NEET UG Round 3, has been released for admission to the MBBS courses. As per RPGMC Kangra NEET UG cutoff 2023, the Round 3 closing rank was 5928 for General category candidates in All India quota for MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. MBBS cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi provides best medical courses and accepts admissions on the basis of NEET scores of an applicant. Every year Students scoring more than 550 marks in NEET are on the safe side for the admissions. Category and reservation system affects the admission process to some extent. Cutoff percentile for general category remains 50th while 40 to 45 for SC, ST and OBC. This cutoff keeps on changing year by year.

In 2022, the NEET cutoff for BDS admissions at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) was 1,055,611 for General category candidates under the All India quota. Nevertheless, it's crucial to understand that the NEET cutoff for BDS at VTU can fluctuate annually, influenced by factors including applicant numbers, seat availability, and the exam's difficulty level.

RIMS Imphal cutoff 2022 was 53109 for General category candidates in All India quota for BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery. RIMS Imphal admission 2023 to MBBS course is based on NEET 2023 scores followed by NEET Counselling 2023. Conducted by the MCC,  NEET UG Counselling is to be held in multiple rounds. Further, NEET cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Yes, AIIMS Raipur accepts NEET scores. There is no other entrance exam conducted by AIIMS Raipur or AIIMS institutes for MBBS admission. Although earlier AIIMS used to conduct its own entrance exam, but it was scrapped in 2020. The admission to AIIMS Raipur takes place through NEET counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. AIIMS Raipur seats are a part of the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates must secure a NEET score above 700 in order to have a chance to get admission to the MBBS course in this coveted medical institute of India.

No, you cannot participate in any counselling process if you do not qualify for the NEET 2025 cutoff criteria.  Candidates from the General category candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks in NEET as stated by NTA as per categories in order to be eligible for the NEET AYUSH counselling. To participate in the counselling of AYUSH UG course, a candidate has to meet the following eligibility requirements:

• He/she must have qualified NEET 2025
• He/she must be at least 17 years old as on December 21, 2025
• He/she must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as core subjects
