Students can check and download 2nd PUC Result 2026 marks card via DigiLocker following the below steps:

The Karnataka PUC 2nd Results made available online will be provisional. The original mark sheet from the board will be provided by the respective schools. Students need to collect their results from their school. They must also note that the mark sheet will be used for verification purposes over and again. So, make sure that there is no error on your mark sheet. In case of any discrepancy, students must report the same immediately to the higher authorities. Thereafter, students must apply for higher studies. They can check Courses after 12th to choose the best course with better job opportunities and good scope.

As per the revised Karnataka Board exam passing criteria 2026, the overall passing aggregate has been lowered to 33%, down from 35%. Meanwhile, the subject-wise passing minimum for the written exam component has also been reduced to 30%. Hence, students have to score 24 marks out of 80 for non-practical subjects, and 21 marks out of 70 for science subjects like Physics and Chemistry. 

2nd PUC Marks Distribution

The Karnataka government released an order stating to consider 20 marks as internal for examination in subjects not having practical exams for first and second PUC from academic year 2023-24. According to the government order, 20 marks have to be recorded by the respective teachers to evaluate the students. 10 points will be given for internal assessment based on first and second unit test and mid term exam. The best of the two from these exams will be averaged to 10 points. The remaining 10 points valuation will be given as per the project and assignment marks at college level. • five marks for projects and writing
• three marks for presentation 
• two marks for viva voce.

Candidates can apply for 2nd PUC Results revaluation, even if it they have scored just one mark in their Pre-University exams, according to the announcement made by state Education Minister BC Nagesh. According to the new amendment, students can apply for revaluation even if their score is below 6 percent.

Students who are unsatisfied with the marks obtained in Karnataka 2nd PUC result 2026 can apply for re-evaluation of the answer sheets through the official website of the state board after the Karnataka PUC Result 2026 declaration. For the same, students have to pay the application fees of INR 1,670 per subject to get answer scripts re-evaluated. No fee will be charged for the re-totalling of answer scripts. Students can also get scanned copies of answer scripts by paying INR 530 per subject.

Karnataka 2nd PUC Exam 2026: Revised Rules for Improvement Paper

The regular, private, and repeaters can now only register for Karnataka 2nd PUC improvement exam 2026 held in the same academic year of their original registration and the immediately following academic year. This allows the lesser maintenance of students’ data. The official notification mentions that all students opting for an improvement exam must follow the revised syllabus of the current academic year. Further, students who successfully improve their scores have to surrender their original marksheets to the Board. The updated marksheet will only be issued once the previous document is submitted.

Students who did not get the passing marks in any of the subjects can re-appear in the supplementary exam, for which they need to fill the application form along with the fees to apply for the supplementary examination. 2nd PUC Supplementary exam result 2026 will be released in May 2026. Karnataka 2nd PUC supplementary exam 2026 will be held in April 2026. The exams will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session will be conducted from 10:15 am to 1:30 pm, while the afternoon session will be conducted from 2:15 pm and 5:30 pm.
