The State Education Minister has announced the postponement of examinations for classes 10 and 12. Read the article to know more.

Karnataka Education Minister S Suresh Kumar has announced that the Karnataka SSLC and PUC 2021 examinations have been postponed and would not be conducted in March. The Minister added that the focus was to reopen schools and colleges in a safe manner amid COVID-19. The Kar 2nd PUC time table as well as Karnataka SSLC Time Table 2021 would be finalised within a week after discussing with the department officials, he further said.

The State Education Minister also said that the examinations have been postponed due to the shortage of time.

The Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certification (SSLC) and Pre-University Course or PUC Examinations are usually conducted in March every year. However, this year, due to the closing down of schools amid COVID-19, the board exams would not be conducted in March. The announcement came after the Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the postponement of CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th examinations 2021.

The State Education Minister also said that the examinations have been postponed due to the shortage of time.

Meanwhile, the State Government has recently announced that it will reopen the schools in the state from January 1, 2021. The schools would reopen for class 6 upwards. However, first, the students of Class 10 and 12 would be returning to schools. As for Class 6 onwards, the Vidyagama program would be put in place. Attending classes would not be mandatory.
