TS Intermediate English Exam Controversy: Full Marks for Question Number 7
On March 10, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) addressed another controversy in the English II exam for second-year students. The issue arose with question number 7, which featured a pie chart. Some students raised concerns over the inaccuracies in the question, particularly with the data presented in the chart. This led to widespread confusion among examinees.
Following these complaints, the board convened with subject experts to evaluate the situation thoroughly. After assessing the issue, the TSBIE decided to award full marks to all students who attempted question number 7, regardless of any discrepancies in the question. This decision was made in an effort to ensure fairness and that no student would be disadvantaged due to the mistakes in the question paper.
Ensuring Fairness in TS Inter Examination Process
The decision to grant full marks for the problematic question was a direct result of student representations and feedback, with the board acknowledging the confusion caused by the incorrectly presented pie chart. In a statement, the TSBIE assured students that every effort was being made to ensure a fair and unbiased evaluation of their performance in the exams.
The board's swift response reflects its commitment to upholding academic integrity and ensuring that students are not penalized for mistakes in the examination process.
Impact on Telangana Intermediate Exams 2025
While the errors in the question papers and the controversy surrounding the English II exam have created uncertainty, the TSBIE's decisions highlight its efforts to maintain fairness and transparency in the examination process.
