NID DAT 2025: The National Institute of Design (NID) Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2025 Preliminary exam is being held today for aspiring designers aiming to secure admission. The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) is held in offline mode at various exam centres across the country. The NID DAT exam will begin at 10:00 AM and will have a duration of 3 hours.
Candidates are required to report to the exam centre by 8:30 AM, as the gates will close at 9:30 AM. Candidates must arrive at their assigned centres at least one hour before the NID DAT 2025 exam begins to ensure ample time for verification and seating arrangements.
Documents to carry for NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) Exam
The following documents will be accepted for the DAT Prelims exam:
- Admit Card: Printed copy of the NID DAT 2025 Admit Card
- Passport
- Voter ID
- PAN Card
- Aadhaar Card
- Driving License
- Attested (No photo provided ID)
Also, student ID - Current school/college will not be accepted as an ID proof.

As candidates head for the exam, here are some last-minute tips:
- They must read the NID DAT 2025 question booklet carefully before starting the exam
- Carefully review the instructions for each question to fully understand the requirements before answering
- Attempt the easy NID DAT questions first
- Removing the question-cum-answer booklet or any part of it from the examination hall is strictly prohibited and considered a punishable offence
- They must distribute their time efficiently between Part A and Part B to ensure they complete all sections
