The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech and PhD courses has concluded. Results are scheduled for release on Mar 19, 2026.

- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 registrations for session 2 started for IIT Jammu admission to the BTech, BArch and BPlan courses. The last date to register for the same is Feb 25, 2026. Further, the session 2 exams will be conducted from Apr 2 to Apr 9, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 exam is now over for admission to the MSc course, with the results expected to be announced on Mar 20, 2026.
IIT Jammu Highlights 2026
IIT Jammu was founded as a public/government college in 2016 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, GoI being mentored by IIT Delhi in its initial phases. Since then it has shifted to its main campus in Jagti, Nagrota from its temporary campus in Paloura with the institute establishing itself as an Institute of National Importance being ranked at 56th by NIRF 2025 under the Engineering category.

IIT Jammu offers a two-yearM.Techprogramme across six specialisations. Admission to this course is based on a GATE score followed by COAP counselling. The admission cycle for MTech commences at IIT Jammu with GATE registrations. Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee has extended the GATE 2025 application submission date with extended fees. IIT Jammu total tuition fee for the BTech course is INR 8 lakh. The total tuition fee for the M.Tech course is INR 80,000. The fee for the MSc course is INR 26,000. Expensive or not, depends on person to person. Those students who find the fee expensive must apply for the scholarships.
