IIT Kanpur and IIIT Una Sign MoU to Advance Academic and Research Collaboration

IIT Kanpur and IIIT Una have established a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing academic collaboration and advancing research excellence.

IIT Kanpur and IIIT Una Sign MoU

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Una have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on joint research projects, startup ecosystem development, training programs, academic initiatives, infrastructure and laboratory development, and the sharing of educational and research resources. The MoU was signed by Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, and Prof. Manish Gaur, Director of IIIT Una, in the presence of Prof. Kumar Vaibhav Srivastava, Acting Dean (R&D), IIT Kanpur.

This collaboration aims to create meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty by fostering interdisciplinary learning, technological innovation, and entrepreneurial development. By combining their expertise and resources, IIIT Una and IIT Kanpur seek to make a significant contribution to India’s innovation and research ecosystem.

Under the MoU, IIT Kanpur and IIIT Una will collaborate on research in emerging technologies, promote interdisciplinary innovation, and support entrepreneurship through incubation, mentorship, and innovation-driven events. The partnership also aims to enhance skill development and academic growth through joint training, faculty development, and student workshops, while co-developing research labs and innovation hubs with shared infrastructure and resources to boost R&D capabilities.

Prof. Manindra Agrawal, Director of IIT Kanpur, stated, "This collaboration with IIIT Una is another step towards fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in higher education. We hope this partnership will strengthen academic and technological capabilities and contribute to the growing national innovation landscape."
