Each candidate desirous of getting admission to Assam University must take the CUET examination. Admission to any courses will be based on the CUET scores. Candidates need to separately fill in the application form for their respective course preference on the official website of Assam University.

Assam University CUET UG Admission: Registration Process
Candidates seeking admission must register in the official admission portal of Assam University. Candidates must fill in their desired course preference in the admission portal itself. Candidates should keep in mind that seats will be offered to the best possible course based on course preferences and CUET score.
Go through the steps for filling up the Application Form given below:
- Open the official Admission portal: ausexamination.ac.in/admission
- Click on “Applicant Login”
- Click on “New Applicant? Create a new Account”.
- Fill up the form accordingly. Create a new password
- Enter the OTP received in your registered Email Id. Click on Submit.
- Fill up the form cautiously. “*” marked fields are mandatory. Click on “Save and next”
- Upload the documents where fields are “*” marked. Image size(should be 150KB to 300KB)
- Select your preferred Program. Enter the CUET Score as per your selected papers in the appropriate field. Do not round off the CUET Score
- Click on “Final Submit and Pay Online”. Pay using official payment gateways.

Seat availability depends on course and university that candidate has applied for. Candidates can check the university wise CUET counselling seats on its repective official website.
While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. Candidates must check the institute wise subject requirement for the course candidate wishes to apply for. If the candidate has applied for four CUET domain subjects and appears for three subjects, it may affect the overall percentile of the candidate. However, if the domain subjects for which the student has appeared, qualify as per the institute’s course requirement, they will be eligible for admission process.
Yes, candidates must have CUET UG score to apply for admissions at University of Delhi. Admission to UG courses of DU is offered through CUET UG scores. DU releases the CUET UG DU cut off for courses and colleges. Only candidates meeting the cut off criteria will be offered final admission to the desired course.

Assam University CUET 2026 Admission: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates willing to get admission must possess Assam university-prescribed criteria along with a valid CUET score. Candidates can check here all the details of the eligibility criteria:
- Students must have passed class XII or equivalent exam from any recognized board of India.
- Students must have appeared in CUET UG examination conducted by NTA.
- Students must select UG course as per the eligibility criteria mentioned in the information bulletin. [Ex. Students with humanities background can’t get admission in B.sc courses.]
- Candidates should appear for the specific Domain subject, which is closely related to their course preference. [For instance, if students want to opt for B.A. Hons in geography, it is ideal that he/she should opt geography as domain subject]

Assam University UG Admission: Reservation
Assam University offers reservations to quota students and special reservations to campus students. The reservation of seats for admission in each department will be as follows:
- Scheduled Caste category (SC): 15%
- Scheduled Tribe category (ST): 7.5%
- Other Backward Class (OBC): 27%
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%
- Person with Disability (PwD): 5%
- ST(H) candidates of the State of Assam applying for admission in Diphu Campus, will be given a special weightage equivalent to 20% of marks.
Note: Candidates belonging to specific quotas must have a caste certificate of the respective category, otherwise, they will not be allowed for admission based on reservation quota. Once seats are allocated to candidates, candidates must visit the official admission portal of Assam University and accept /lock their seats. If any candidate fails to accept the seat within the given time that seat will be considered vacant, and the candidate will also not be able to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Assam University will contact students after the seat allocation process for further admission process via official e-mail.

The frequency of CUET counselling rounds is dependent on:

The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. The candidates are supposed to fill the forms for college and course for seat allotment. Candidates must stay updated with the important dates for admission to participating universities.
The final CUET answer key published by the NTA serves as the basis for the CUET result. Following this, it is anticipated that all of the participating universities will publish their separate cut-off lists (admission/merit lists) and dates for student acceptance to various UG programs.
Candidates must now complete the application in order to be admitted to the college they choose during the application process. Depending on the number of open seats, the college will release a separate cutoff and merit list in one or more rounds following the submission of the registration form on the college website.
