Yes, CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is compulsory for admissions to undergraduate programs in most Central Universities in India. It serves as a unified entrance exam for students seeking admission to various undergraduate courses across participating Central Universities. Each university sets its eligibility criteria, but CUET scores are a primary criterion for admission. Exceptions may exist for certain specialised programs or institutions, but for most central universities, CUET is now an essential requirement for UG admissions.

The CUET UG counselling is conducted by the universities acepting CUET UG scores seperately. Candidates will have to apply seperately for each university to appear for the CUET UG counselling process. National Testing Agency (NTA) has no role in conduction counselling process for CUET UG admissions. The participating universities conduct CUET counselling on the basis of candidate's CUET score and college preferences. The candidates are supposed to fill the forms for college and course for seat allotment. Candidates must stay updated with the important dates for admission to participating universities.
The number of seats offered through CUET UG counselling is not certain, it is estimated to be approximately 10,000 seats. After registering yourself at the official website of DHSGSU, you have to once again log in and fill out the application form. Follow these steps to complete the form:
- Visit dhsgsucuet.samarth.edu.in.
- Under Registered User Login, enter your CUET Application Number as username.
- Enter your secret password.
- Enter the Captcha & click on login.
- Click on Complete Profile to fill in the registration details (Profile, Other, and upload documents)
Note: Digital photos and Signature are required in .jpg or .jpeg image format. The file size of the digital photos must be within 10 to 500kb limit.
- Preview the details entered in the DHSGSU CUET registration form at every step and click on Save.
- Click on the Payment tab.
- Pay the required application fee to complete the application process.

CUET UG counselling process schedule is announced by the participating universities after the declaration of CUET results. The process will be conducted separately by the universities, and it will not be a centralised counselling system.
NTA will announce the CUET result 2026 tentatively in first week of July. CUET UG result 2026 will be announced at cuet.nta.nic.in online. Candidates who will appear for the exam can check their scores online. Students will be required to enter their login credentials to view the CUET scorecard 2026. NTA will mention the applicant's details and subject-wise score for CUET 2026. The scores will be sent to the universities for which candidates have applied soon after the declaration of results. CUET UG result 2027 will be declared tentatively in first week of July 2027 at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appear for the exam can download the scorecard online. Candidates, upon downloading the CUET scorecard, must check the following details mentioned on the scorecard:

- Candidate's name
- Mother's name
- Father's name
- Category
- Gender
- Person with benchmark disability (PwBD)
- Date of birth
- Candidate's signature
- Candidate's photograph
- Scorecard details in percentile and normalised score
Candidates must note that after the issue of CUET UG scorecard, no request for re-evaluation of the scores will be entertained under any circumstances.
While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. Candidates must check the institute wise subject requirement for the course candidate wishes to apply for. If the candidate has applied for four CUET domain subjects and appears for three subjects, it may affect the overall percentile of the candidate. However, if the domain subjects for which the student has appeared, qualify as per the institute’s course requirement, they will be eligible for admission process.

Yes, candidates must have CUET UG score to apply for admissions at University of Delhi. Admission to UG courses of DU is offered through CUET UG scores. DU releases the CUET UG DU cut off for courses and colleges. Only candidates meeting the cut off criteria will be offered final admission to the desired course.
