Common University Entrance Test 2026 ( CUET )
Common University Entrance Test UG syllabus 2026 will be updated at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates can download the free CUET syllabus 2026 PDFs online on release of official notification. CUET 2026 syllabus is divided into three sections: General test, Domain Subjects and Language. Aspirants can choose upto five CUET subjects to prepare for. The syllabus of CUET UG is based completely on class 12th NCERT curriculum. Science, Commerce and Arts students must review the syllabus of the subjects they have studied in class 12th. As per the CUET 2026 exam pattern, the question paper for each subject will consist of 50 multiple choice questions. The CUET 2026 will be tentatively held from the second week of May 2026 in CBT mode.

Changes in CUET UG 2026 Syllabus
National Testing Agency has not introduced any new changes in CUET UG 2026 syllabus yet. Candidates can check the last year changes in CUET syllabus:
- Number of languages reduced from 23 to 13
- Computer Based Test for all subjects
- A total of five CUET subjects can be taken instead of 10
- Standard CUET exam duration of 60 minutes for each subject
- Number of CUET subjects reduced from 63 to 37
- Standard number of questions in all subjects (no optional questions)

From CUET UG 2026 onwards, candidates can now choose for five CUET subjects. Earlier, the subject choices were six. With the rediuction in number of CUET subjects, the choices have been reduced. Candidates can opt for five subjects from 23 domain subjects of any stream irrespective of subjects studied in class 12th.
NTA has mentioned that CUET UG 2026 syllabus will adhere to NCERT syllabus. Hence, it can be assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the CUET UG exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the subject concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.
Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national-level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is similar with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

To choose the CUET subjects 2026, candidates must first check the course requirements of desired university and then align those subjects with class 12th subjects. The CUET questions are objective in nature and carries four options also known as MCQs. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2026 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, students will get +5 marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer.
