1. Submit the CAT 2025 form before the last date: Since over 3 lakh candidates apply for CAT exam every year, the wise thing to do is to not wait until the last day to submit the form. You might face server related problems which could delay CAT 2025 registration. 2. Use valid email ID and mobile phone number for registration: During CAT 2025 registration, make sure you use an email ID and phone number that you are using currently because the OTP for validating CAT registration, user ID and password, and the call letter from the IIMs will be sent to the contact details you share. You will receive all CAT related communication including, notification about CAT 2025 admit cards and CAT 2025 results on the same phone number and email ID. Candidates must note that, there is no provision of changing the contact details once the registration is done.

3. Review CAT 2025 application form before submitting: Cross checking and verifying every detail furnished on the CAT 2025 application form is very important as every information must be valid and same as mentioned on the documents (birth certificate, marksheets, etc.) because these information will be verified by the institutes at the time of MBA admission. Also, make sure you upload relevant certificates in correct format (is applicable). All the details and certificates will be verified for authenticity and in case there is a discrepancy, the CAT 2025 form can be cancelled.

Since the CAT application forms cannot be edited after submission, review the inputs before hitting the 'submit' button. Once the application form is submitted, you will have only two options:

  • Wait for the CAT form correction window to open in which you can edit only a few fields like percentage of marks scored, work experience, and programmes selected

OR

  • Fill a new CAT 2025 form using a new phone number and a new email ID

Also, you will not be allowed to choose the CAT 2025 exam slot (morning, forenoon or afternoon) by yourself. Thus, choose the CAT cities carefully. Your choice of test cities must be the ones which you can visit and ensure a stay, easily on the exam day.

Don’t forget to save the acknowledgement/receipt generated on the payment of fees.

The application form is not accepted without the payment of fees. Candidates must also keep in mind that the CAT application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Thus, candidates must fill their forms carefully as if they make a mistake they will have to fill the application form again and pay the fees again. There is a provision of form correction in CAT but only test centre, photo and signature can be edited in the already submitted form. In case, you, ve made a mistake in any other field, you will have to fill the form again.

A:
Once the CAT application form is submitted, candidates are not allowed to make changes in it. In case, you've made errors, you need to fill a fresh CAT application form and pay the fees again. However, editing of certain fields such as photo, signature and test city preference is allowed during form correction process which starts 2-3 days after the CAT registration process concludes. The form correction window is opened for 3-4 days during which candidates can edit only these three fields. If they have made a mistake in any other field, they cannot edit it. No request for changes is accepted by the examination authorities. Thus, it is very important to fill the CAT application form correctly with valid details. Candidates must keep the important documents such as Aadhaar card, class 10, class 12, graduation certificates, birth Certificate address proof, work experience documents, etc. To cross check the information while filling the form. They must also be very careful in selecting Iims and courses as they will be eligible for only those Iims and courses which they shall have selected in the CAT form.
Q:   Can I fill the CAT registration form before, and submit the fee later?
A:

Yes, candidates can fill out the CAT application form on one day and pay the fee on another day, as it is not mandatory to register for the CAT exam, fill out the application form, or pay the fee in one go. The registration and application window will remain open for candidates who have registered for the exam and created an ID until the last date of form submission. The applicant can log in and check/fill/edit the CAT application form anytime during the form-filling period. Only the phone number and email ID will not be editable once registration is complete. However, candidates need to submit the CAT form and application fee before the deadline to be eligible to appear for the exam. The CAT application form will not be submitted until the fee payment is completed. The fee can be paid via debit card, credit card, net banking, and UPI wallet.

Q:   Is there any fee charged for CAT form correction?
A:

No, the candidates do not have to pay any fee for CAT form correction. The facility is provided to candidates free of cost. However, if they have made an error in a field that will not be available for editing during form correction, then they will have to fill a fresh form before the submission deadline and pay the CAT application fee again. So, candidates must review the CAT application form before submitting to check whether they have filled all the information correctly or not. Once submitted, the form will not be editable but of photo, signature and test city.

Q:   For how long is CAT form correction window usually open?
A:
