B.Sc. in Physical Science (Chemistry) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi
3.2
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
Good campus, good faculty, but the principal VK Palliwal creates a sometimes hostile environment.
Placements: The placements are not on par with other departments. Only about 10 to 20% of students get placed, with packages up to 3 LPA. Majorly, accounting companies come for placement, and only 1% of students get internships. Top roles are an assistant in a chemistry lab, so it's not very good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, with good sports and NCC facilities. Well-maintained labs are available. There is no Wi-Fi around the campus, but the library is good and the biggest in all of DU. The mess is good. There are no hostels, but accommodation is available nearby. The ambience is good.
Faculty: Teachers generally explain concepts clearly and make lectures easier to understand, even for weak students. Faculty members are usually supportive and open to doubts. Dyal Singh provides a nice academic structure with good faculty and a good examination system. With hard work and consistency, students can have a productive and academically good experience at the college.
Other: Dyal Singh College has a very fun and chill environment. As far as the BSc Physical Science department is concerned, it is a relatively new department.

Satisfied with the college.
Placements: 30 percent of students got placed from my course. The highest package is 16.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Recruiting companies are Deloitte, Reliance, PwC, EY, and KPMG. Through the placement cell, almost 80 percent got placement in companies like American Express, Deloitte, and others. Don't know, I already did an internship under an employee.
Infrastructure: Facilities available in my department include Wi-Fi, a classroom, library, canteen, computer labs, proper classes conducted on time, and medical facilities. Quality is decent in the hostel, food quality is the best, medical facilities are also good, but sports facilities are not available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Teaching quality is also good. The course curriculum is relevant after NEP, in addition to SAC, VAC, GE, which makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is 90 percent.
Other: I chose this course because it is a prestigious course. The best thing is that it makes students ready to study hard because in the studios, students can clarify this course. Additional sports facilities and improved classroom facilities would help. All events are good, fests are good, but there is too much student politics.

Points to remember in PGDAVE EVE College.
Placements: 70-80 percent of students are placed. Fewer students got internships. Not known about companies. Not very good packages in all courses. And good companies. Very few students got internships, and not good packages are offered. Very few packages. The course is good for government preparations only.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in this college. The college premises are clean and have all the facilities you want. Quality of canteen food. The other things are very excellent. There are medical facilities and big grounds. There are big labs, Wi-Fi is available in every classroom, and the library is big.
Faculty: Teachers are friendly in nature, have proper knowledge and skills, and are qualified. In this course my course. It is relevant for students preparing for government exams. Semester exams are easy. The repeated questions came in it. Teaching quality is best. I got the best teacher to teach me.
Other: I chose this course because I want to do UPSC prep and other government exams. Their faculty guidance and infrastructure. Events and fests are held every year. The crowd is not good, bad crowd. All other extracurricular activities are here. Clubs, societies, big grounds, etc.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2028
Offered by Hansraj College, University of Delhi

Pros - Faculty, infrastructure, and environment are good. Cons- Pricey canteens.
Placements: B.Sc. courses are not known for their placements (especially botany hons), as you all know. You have to follow a Master's in that particular field. However, they have some placement opportunities too at the B.Sc. level in Hansraj College. You just have to be A1 in your academics.
Infrastructure: Labs are really awesome, and so are classes and the library. But it lacks a hostel, and its facilities, in fact, Hansraj College doesn't provide a hostel for the 1st year students, which is a big flaw for students who are residing at a distance. Canteens are really good but pricy at the same time. The environment is pollutant-free.
Faculty: Faculty, exams, and curriculum are good. Teachers are qualified and understand the students' perspective well. They teach in multiple languages so that students coming from different states could also understand what is going on inside the class, and they also interact with every student during class, which makes the class more interactive.

Overall, college is very good with good facilities and infrastructure but with low placement.
Placements: In my course, most students choose higher studies as I have seen my seniors choosing M.Sc. because there are more opportunities after that. I haven't seen any placement in my course. But there's some placement in other departments like computer sciences, electronics, and others.
Infrastructure: This college has very nice infrastructure. It has well-maintained labs of all departments. There is a proper library with good number of books. Canteen is good, and all sports equipment is available. In DU, most colleges don't have hostels, so it has no hostel. But infrastructure is overall good.
Faculty: All professors I feel very good. They are cooperative and supportive. They help students all times and available in college. All professors are well-qualified. Exams are basically a little bit tough but most students get good marks as they get good guidance from all professors.
Other: I am much passionate about career in physics so I pursued B.Sc. physics honors.

A nice hill college with no attendance issues. Poor infrastructure, but crowd & diversity are nice.
Placements: Based on current records, around 30–60% students get placed in my course. The highest package is around 30–34 LPA. The average package is around 4–6 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are KPMG, Deloitte, and PwC. Internship opportunities are offered by Amazon, Decathlon, Swiggy, etc., to a good percentage of students. The top roles offered in my course are Finance Executive, Sales and Marketing Associate, HR Recruiter, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities are average. The library Wi-Fi does not work at all. The infrastructure is poor. Classes are ugly, like most DU colleges, and have no AC, but the outside campus is decent with greenery. There are no hostels in this college. The canteen is decent and has a nice variety of food. Sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are average. Teaching quality is average. The course feels outdated and does not make a student industry-ready. Extra skills are required. Passing is not that hard in semester exams. It is like other DU colleges, and students need around 40% marks in both internals and practicals.
Other: I chose this course because it is the best one available in the commerce field at Delhi University.
