PU UGLAW 2022: Panjab University conducts PU UG Law 2022 entrance exam for admission in BA LLB and BCom LLB course. The entrance exam will be held on July 03, from 10 am to 11:30 am. What is PU UGLAW 2022 Exam?

PU UGLAW is a written entrance exam conducted by Panjab University. The entrance exam is conducted for the selection of the candidates for admission in the 5 years integrated course of BA LLB and BCom LLB. The exam is held at Chandigarh, Hoshiarpur and Ludhiana. The duration of the OMR based exam is 1.5 hours and it contains questions from General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Aptitude for Law, Mental Ability, and English Language.

After the exam is over, results are displayed online on the official website of PU UG Law 2022. The candidates who qualify in the entrance exam have to fill the online admission form and appear for offline counselling. The final merit list for admissions is prepared based on 50% weightage of the PU UGLAW entrance exam and 50% weightage of the qualifying exam.

PU UG Law 2022 Application Form

The PU BA LLB entrance exam 2022 application is partly an online and partly offline process. The application fee is to be submitted offline and the print of the filled and submitted online form is to be submitted via post. The application process is as follows:

Step 1: Online Registration:

Once candidates complete the online registration, they get their – Application Number, Login ID and Password.

Step 2: Pay the Application Fee:

Candidates have to log in with details i.e. Application Number, ID and Password to generate fee challan. The fee can be paid in offline mode only at any branch of the State Bank of India before the last date. 

Step 3: Form Completion

Candidates need to log in again and fill the application form and upload the required documents.

Step 4: Submit the form online:

Candidates need to lock the form and submit it online.

Step 5: Send the print of the application form:

PU UGAW 2022 Eligibility Criteria

There are 2 types of eligibility to keep in mind:

First, eligibility conditions to appear in the PU UGLAW entrance exam 2022:

  1. 10+2 passed or appearing in the 10+2 exam in 2022.
  2. 10+2 Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council.

Second, eligibility for admission in BA LLB and BCom LLB courses:

  1. Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC/PwD) from any recognized Board/University.
  2. The applicants should have obtained 10+2 Higher Secondary Pass Certificate. Or should have First Degree Certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method.

The exam pattern of PU UGLAW can help understand the exam better. To prepare for the entrance test, candidates must keep the distribution of marks and questions in the exam in mind. Here is the exam pattern of PU UGLAW 2022:

PU UGLAW 2022 Admit Card

Panjab University release the admit card for the PU UGLAW entrance exam online over the official website. No admit card is sent via post or other modes. The candidate shall be allowed to appear in the test only on the production of the admit card at the Test Centre. The candidates must retain the PU UGLAW 2022 admit card with them till the admission process is over.

How to download PU UGLAW admit card 2022:

  1. Visit the official website of the PU UG Law entrance exam.
  2. Click on the ‘Admit Card’ link and the login window opens. 
  3. In the login window for admit card, enter your login ID and password and click on the 'Sign In’ button.
  4. The admit card appears on the screen, download the admit card and get at least two printouts to carry on the exam day.

The exam date, reporting time, exam centre details and many other important instructions are provided on the admit card. Therefore, keep it safe and follow all the points provided in it.

PU UGLAW 2022 Answer Key and Question Papers

The question papers and answer keys are put on the University website exams.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php. The answer keys are uploaded in PDF format and have the correct answers to all questions asked in the exam. Candidates can use the answer keys to check their responses in the exam. Thus, they can get an idea of their own performance in the entrance test and thus their probable scores can be known to them.

The candidates can file their objections regarding discrepancies and accuracy of the PU UGLAW 2022 answer key by e-mail to arcet@pu.ac.in. Objections received are published on the website and cross-objections are also invited within a certain timeframe. The valid concerns thus expressed are given due consideration while evaluation.

The PU UGLAW 2022 question papers are also published with the answer key. The PDF of the question paper is uploaded at exams.puchd.ac.in/show-noticeboard.php. Candidates can download the question paper and use it for crosschecking the answers.

PU UGLAW 2022 Result

The result of the entrance test is made available on the University website results.puchd.ac.in and uglaw.puchd.ac.in. There shall be no re-evaluation / re-checking / re-assessment. The evaluation once done by the university shall be absolutely final.

However, if a candidate wishes to verify their result, they are provided with a photocopy of their answer sheet on payment of INR 10,000/- within 10 days after the declaration of the PU UGLAW 2022 Entrance Test result. The University office would complete the whole procedure of verification within three working days. In case, a discrepancy is found in the result of the candidate, it would accordingly be revised and the verification fee is then refunded.

PU UGLAW 2022 Merit Lists

PU releases 2 merit lists. The first one is preliminary merit lists. The candidates whose names appear in the preliminary ist can fill the admission form. The second is the final merit list and is the list that is referred to distribute seats in BA LLB and BCom LLB courses.

Preliminary merit list: The University will first publish the Preliminary Merit List of the candidates on the basis of the Entrance Test only. The candidates who get minimum marks in PU UGLAW 2022 entrance test are included in the preliminary merit list.

Final merit list: Final merit list is released after the candidates fill and submit the admission form. This merit list is based on 50% weightage of the entrance test score and 50% weightage of the qualifying exam marks. Admissions in the courses are based on the final merit list only.

PU UGLAW 2022 Counselling

PU UGLAW counselling is an offline process. However, the admission form is to be filled online. Candidates who name appear in the preliminary merit list must fill the admission form. Thereafter, they must wait for the final merit list to release. Once the candidates can check their names in the final merit list they need to attend PU UGLAW counselling personally.

Counselling must be attended according to their merit position and on the day/s shown in the counselling schedule. Physical presence in the counselling is mandatory both for the General category and Reserved category candidates as per the notified dates.

The candidate selected for admission will be required to deposit the original certificates and pay the prescribed fees.
