Candidates who have passed M.Sc Food Science and Technology, Food Technology, any branch of Life Sciences , Home Science / Nutrition & Dietetics, Industrial and Applied Microbiology, M.Voc (3+2 year degree Program) Food Processing Technology (or) any equivalent degree in the above Disciplines with a minimum aggregate of 50% are also eligible to apply.

Entrance Test
Eligible candidates need to appear for SRMJEEE (PG) conducted by the SRM University. Candidates with valid score in GATE/TANCET need not to appear for SRMJEEE (PG). International applicants are exempted from taking the All India Entrance Examination conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
Counselling
Admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in SRMJEEE. Vacant seats will be filled directly by the institute on the basis of valid score in GATE/ TANCET. International students will get direct admission based on the marks obtained in graduation.
