VIT Vellore BTech CSE course syllabus consists of subjects categories as programme core, programme elective, university core, and university elective. There are abou 34 programme electives in the curriculum. Some of the offerd course electives are as follows:

Admission to the VIT Vellore B.Tech course is based on the VITEEE score. VIT Engineering Entrance Exam is a computer-based test conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The VITEEE question paper consists of 125 questions. The questions will be based on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

A total of 14044 offers were made in 2025 including 3499 Dream, 3563 Super Dream and 6982 Regular offers from 868 participating companies. The highest package offered during VIT Vellore placements 2025 stood at INR 1 Cr per annum. 

The total tuition fee for VIT Vellore BTech ranges between INR 4.9 lakh and 7.8 lakh. The total course fee, includes a caution deposit of INR 3,000 as well. The fee will vary as per the specialisation selected by the candidates. BTech is available in 24 specialisations, namely Computer Science and Engineering (Bioinformatics), Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, etc. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode. The application fee is INR 1350. 

IIT is a public/government university. Whereas, VIT is a private university. Therefore there is difference in the fee for various courses and the education structure as well. IIT is best in offering Engineering courses to students when talking about the government university. VIT Vellore accepts VITEEE cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to the BTech specialisations. However, the authorities did not release the VIT Vellore VITEEE 2024 cutoff online, and it was only accessible to candidates who appeared for the entrance exam. VIT Vellore's cut off depends on several factors and will be used in the preparation of the merit list for the counselling and admission process.
