I am dissatisfied because of this covid as I missed college experience for one last time.
Placements: I am pursuing M.Tech degree currently. The placement season is yet to come. I got to know from seniors that we have some very good placement offers at the end of the course. If you have potential, then you can crack the interview and get placed in good core companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for this course is good enough to match industry requirements. Hostel facilities are fabulous, and you won't notice any comfort. Food quality in the hostel mess is good enough. VIT also has Dominos store inside it, so pizza is always available.
Faculty: All faculty members are PhD degree holders as well as knowledgeable. They are very frank and supportive. If you are pursuing masters here, then you would never have a chance to meet your seniors because they are doing their internship or busy in project work.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course has 45-50 seat, and nowadays, all the industries are automated. They need an automation engineer to operate it.

I suggest you to study here and get a chance to get placed in your dream company.
Placements: More than 98% of the students from our batch got placed. The highest salary package offered was 45 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges from 15 LPA-20 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Qualcomm, Microsoft, General Electric, etc.. More than 90% of the students got internship offers. Various roles are offered like an electrical engineer, software engineer, engineering analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts excellent infrastructure and decent hostel facilities. The quality of the food served in the mess and canteen is good. Classrooms are enabled with projectors, and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Our college provides good medical facilities in emergency cases and in normal cases. Labs are up to the standard, and our college takes good care of the equipment.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly knowledgeable and impart high-quality education. Their teaching methods include projects, group discussions and regular assignments. The course curriculum is highly relevant and updated as per the industry requirements.
Other: Scholarships are provided for academically good students. Events and extracurricular activities are conducted throughout the year.

Review of VIT University - Vellore Institute of Technology.
Placements: More than 80% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 31 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA. ABB, Seimens, Schneider, Danfoss, etc., are the top recruiting companies. The postgraduate engineer trainee is the top role offered to students. Almost all students got an internship in companies like Danfoss, Aptiv, ABB, Schneider etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with state-of-the-art infrastructure. Labs are huge and well-maintained. There are smart classrooms with smart board, projector and air-condition is also available. The library is digitalised with RFID scanning for book issuing. The hostel quality is satisfactory. It depends on the block on which you are allocated. Rooms are small. The food served in the mess is average, and they provide options for veg and non-veg. There is a local medical dispensary for OPD and normal first aid. There are outdoor and indoor sports facilities.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very qualified and mostly PhD holders. Teaching quality is okay but not great. They will not spoon-feed, and they will only guide you. This course is very relevant as automation is the path to future technologies. It makes students industry ready with industrial visits and practical labs. They also conduct occasional guest lectures from people working in the automation industry.
Other: I have chosen this course as I have an interest in automation and robotics. This course is the first step toward artificial intelligence. The best things about this course are the subjects that deal with the real-life problem of process control and automation in the industry. There are two main events in VIT. Gravitas, the technical fest and Riveria the social and cultural fest. The college also provides scholarships to deserving candidates and also allows them to study one semester abroad in their semester abroad programme (SAP).

A review on VIT University.
Placements: VIT University is a top-ranked university in India. VIT provides internships and placements to all students. For my department, 100% placement is provided in the reputed companies since last 4 years. For M.Tech courses, one year is for academics and the entire second year is for an internship.
Infrastructure: VIT has many industry-sponsored laboratories like National Semiconductor, Da Foss, Schnider Electric, etc. All the labs are available 24*7. There is a 7-floor library, where more than 8 lakh books are available, and it is open 24*7.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well-qualified. The ratio of student-faculty is 40:1. The faculty support students in their academics. VIT provides flexibility to choose their courses. VIT provides complete industry based courses to students. Overall, it is far better than other private universities in India.

Overall, the atmosphere here in VIT is good. It has great infrastructure, good placements.
Placements: All my 30 seniors from last batch (2017) got placed in good companies. Most of them got placed in MNC's in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. Some of them went for doctorate for an internship. Most MNC's offer somewhere around Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000 per month. Obviously, it depends on which company is visiting and what skills you have. For us, companies just started visiting campus.Hopefully, the same result will come from our batch.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here in VIT is very good compared to all other engineering colleges (excluding some IIT's, IISc Bengaluru). You will get so many opportunities here to learn new things and to develop your skills. All the facilities are available inside the campus and hostel but if you're staying in a hostel then some rules are weird, and you should strictly follow them. Here you will find many industry-sponsored laboratories which can help you to know the recent developments in that particular field.
Faculty: I feel the faculty here in VIT is average compared to IIT's. Most of them have got their doctorate, but if you want to learn something, then you can't rely on them. We have all the technical facilities available here, and we can use them. Talking about curriculum, the subjects they offer here for my branch are all related to the industry directly. I found every subject interesting till the date in VIT.
Other: Riviera is the main annual cultural fest here.it is one of the biggest of its kind. Apart from Riviera, there are other festivals like gravitas ( basically a technical event). I don't know much about them.
