IIM Indore conducts the IPMAT Indore exam for admission to the five-year integrated programme in management. Quantitiative Aptitude Sectional Weightage

No, the short answer type section of Quantitative Aptitude section will not have negative markings.

The IPMAT exam has negative markings for the other two sections. Each question in the IPMAT exam carries four marks. And for every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted. This means that if the candidate has four correct answers then 16 marks will be added to the IPMAT overall score. If the candidate marks more than one answer for a particular question, the answer will be considered incorrect. To avoid maximum marks deduction, candidates must attempt the easier question first and then move on to the more difficult ones in that particular section. If the candidate is unsure about a particular question, they can also skip the question. No marks will be deducted or awarded for unanswered questions. 

The IPMAT exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Indore. The exam is conducted once every year for admission to the five year integrated programme in management. The test will end automatically once 120 minutes of the test are over. The IPMAT exam is conducted in the afternoon shift. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the IPMAT exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the examination in order to complete the frisking formalities at the entry gate. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre 15 minutes before the exam time.

No, digital copy of the IPMAT admit card will not be considered valid for the verification purpose at the IPMAT exam centre. Candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the IPMAT admit card to gain an entry. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. The photograph should match the one uploaded in the IPMAT application form. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document which is to be carried to the exam centre and candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre without the admit card. Along with the admit card candidates should carry the following items:

Aptitude Test score or the ATS score in IPMAT is the deciding factor for the students if they will get a call for the Personal Interview or not after the exam is conducted. The higher the ATS, the higher the chances for IIM Indore PI call:

IPMAT answer key is usually released after a few days of the IPMAT exam. The IPMAT answer key 2025 was released on May 20, 2025, provisionally. The final IPMAT answer key will be released online on the official website of IIM Indore, likely in the first week of June 2025. The authorities will release a provisional IPMAT answer key and also a final answer key after the objection filing window closes.

Yes, IIM Indore extends financial aid to the aspirants in need of financial assistance. The institute offers a Need Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) scholarship to ensure that no aspirant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons. All participants admitted to the Post-Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), PGP HRM (PGPH) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) with annual family income below INR 9,00,000 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. All the students who have applied through the EWS quota but have secured the seat through general or any other quota can also apply for NBFA. IPMAT entrance exam is the first phase of the IPM admission process. The exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode across various exam centres. • Confirm the exact location of the IPMAT test centre at least one day before the IPMAT exam day to ensure that transportation is available on time. If you are new to the city or the location of the centre, it is adivsable to visit the centre once.

• Stay calm and have a healthy breakfast in the morning before the exam. 

Every candidate must carry a simple blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the IPMAT exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, IPMAT candidates are required to carry drinking water, hand sanitizer, face mask and gloves along with them. They have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. They also must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the IPMAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.
