NSAT exam pattern 2026 is same as last year. Exam will be conducted for 150 minutes in which candidates will have to solve 75 objective type questions based on relevant subjects. Every question will carry 2 marks for correct attempt and 0 marks for incorrect attempt. There is no negative marking. Check below latest NSAT exam pattern.

Q:   What is the syllabus of NSAT exam?
A: 

NSAT syllabus for BBA, BA LLB and BBA LLB courses include all the important topics of English/Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning & General Awareness. NSAT syllabus for BTech includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology. Candidates planning to appear for NSAT, must study all the topics included in the syllabus for up to Class 12 level.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for NSAT?
A: 

NSAT is conducted for admission to UG courses, thus the minimum eligibility criteria is class 12 or equivalent pass. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50 percent in their class 12 exam. For, BBA, BBA LLB course, the stream of education can be ARrts, Commerce or Science. BTech applicants must have completed their class 12 from Science stream (with maths).

Q:   What is the application fee for NSAT exam?
A: 

NSAT application fee is INR 1100. The fee is to be paid at the time of form submission. There is no fee relaxation for any candidate. Candidates must ensure that they pay NSAT fee before application closure to be eligible for the exam. The fee can be paid online.

Yes, you can fill the NSAT application form first and pay the fee later. But make sure to pay the fee before the last date otherwise, your application will be cancelled.

After NSAT result announcement, candidates selected for admission have to pay 50% of the semester fee and confirm admission before the deadline. If they fail to do so, their candidature will be cancelled.

No, it is not allowed to change the test centre after NSAT 2026 admit card has been released. Candidates will have to appear for the exam at the centre as mentioned in the NSAT admit card.

NSAT exam is conducted for 1.5 hours. There is no break inbetween. There is no sectional time limit too, so candidates will have to be mindful of time distribution for each section.

NSAT exam preparation includes covering the syllabus topics wise and practice of sample questions. The syllabus pertains to subjects studied in class 11 and 12, so essentially it will require revision of the same.
