NSAT exam 2026 will be conducted in multiple phases. Candidates can apply for the exam at the university website. NSAT 2026 registration window is currently open. NSAT exam will be followed by GD/PI. Those who will clear the written test will be invited for GD/PI. Final admission will be based on candidate's performance in the GD/PI round. What is NSAT?

NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test or NSAT is a common entrance test for admission to Noida International University’s various undergraduate and postgraduate courses like B Tech, BBA, BA LLB, BBA LLB, BTech+MTech, BBA+MBA, BAJMC courses.  For non-technical programmes, admission process consists only of GD/PI. The entrance exam is of 1.5 hours in which candidates have to attempt 75 questions from subjects studied in class 11 and 12. NSAT qualifying candidates are offered admission to their chosen courses. 

NSAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Candidate must have scored at least 50% in Class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board or university, in relevant education stream.
  • Those who have appeared for Class 12 exam are also eligible to apply. However, their admission will be provisional until submission of passing certificate.

Q:   What is the syllabus of NSAT exam?
A: 

NSAT syllabus for BBA, BA LLB and BBA LLB courses include all the important topics of English/Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning & General Awareness. NSAT syllabus for BTech includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology. Candidates planning to appear for NSAT, must study all the topics included in the syllabus for up to Class 12 level.

Q:   What is NIU admission process through NSAT?
A: 

NIU admission process through NSAT includes shortlisting of candidates for counselling, conduct of counselling round and final selection. Candidates who meet NSAT cut off or CUET cut off, are shortlisted for admission and a provisional merit list is released. Selected candidates are then required to reserve seat by paying 50 percent of the semester fee. The remaining fee is to be paid within a month to confirm admission.

Q:   Is NSAT mandatory for admission to NIU?
A: 

No, NSAT or NIU Scholarship cum Admission Test is not mandatory for NIU admission. The institute also accepts CUET for technical programmes. If a candidate has CUET score they can directly seek admission to NIU through counselling. However, if a candidate wishes to appear for NSAT and use its score for admission, they are allowed to do so.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for NSAT?
A: 

NSAT is conducted for admission to UG courses, thus the minimum eligibility criteria is class 12 or equivalent pass. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50 percent in their class 12 exam. For, BBA, BBA LLB course, the stream of education can be ARrts, Commerce or Science. BTech applicants must have completed their class 12 from Science stream (with maths). 

Q:   What is the application fee for NSAT exam?
A: 

NSAT application fee is INR 1100. The fee is to be paid at the time of form submission. There is no fee relaxation for any candidate. Candidates must ensure that they pay NSAT fee before application closure to be eligible for the exam. The fee can be paid online.

There is no negative marking in NSAT. Candidates will get 0 if they have made a wrong attempt.

Q:   What is the duration of NSAT exam?
A: 

NSAT exam is conducted for 1.5 hours. There is no break inbetween. There is no sectional time limit too, so candidates will have to be mindful of time distribution for each section.

NSAT application fee is non-refundable. There is no provision to seek refund of fee amount under any circumstances. Thus, candidates must fill the form only if they are sure of appearing for the test.

Q:   Can I fill NSAT application form now and pay the fee later?
A: 

Yes, you can fill the NSAT application form first and pay the fee later. But make sure to pay the fee before the last date otherwise, your application will be cancelled. 

Q:   Can I edit NSAT application form after submitting it?
A: 

There is no option to edit the NSAT application fee after it has been submitted. If you have made an error, you will have to register again and pay the fee again.

NSAT 2026 Selection Process

NIU admission process includes NSAT and Counselling. Candidates who clear the NSAT exam have to participate in the counselling process which includes GD/PI to confirm a seat at the institute. Check details below:

Interested candidates can apply for NSAT by filling the application form online as well as offline. The NSAT application form fee is INR 1,100 as application fee.

NSAT admit card 2026

NSAT 2026 admit card will be sent to each registered candidate through email once their application form has been received by the admission cell. Upon successful verification of candidate's eligibility, the admit card will be emailed within a week. The NSAT admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall.

NSAT exam 2026

NSAT is conducted in online mode and exam dates will be shared with candidates upon registration. Candidates have to attempt the exam and solve the questions within a time limit. The format of questions is MCQ from the relevant subjects in Class 11 and 12, for BBA.

NSAT Result 2026

NSAT result 2026 will be announced online and phase wise. Test takers will receive their scorecards in email. The NSAT scorecard will contain candidate's details and marks (sectional and overall). Candidates are advised to keep a check on their email inbox for scorcard. 

NSAT Counselling

As part of NSAT counselling process, the university will issue an offer of admission or provisional admission letter if student qualifies in the entrance test. The student selected for admission will be required to reserve his/her seat by paying minimum 50 per cent of the semester fee immediately failing which the seat can be allotted to other student.

The fee paid against Reservation of seat is non-refundable/non-transferable. Registered students are suggested to pay the balance fee mentioned in their provisional admission letter within 30 days of their reservation of seat to confirm their admission failing which the allotted seat can be transferred to the waiting list students.

NSAT result is shared with candidates in email. Those who appear for the exam receive their scorecard in email as attachment. Test takers must keep a check on their registered email ID for NSAT result. Incase, a candidate does not get the result on time they must check their spam/junk folder. They can also contact the examination body to obtain their result.

Q:   Where can I download NSAT admit card from?
A: 

NSAT admit card is issued soon after the application form is submitted. It can be downloaded from the dashboard. Candidates have to carry the hard copy of the admir card on the exam day.

A: 

After NSAT result announcement, candidates selected for admission have to pay 50% of the semester fee and confirm admission before the deadline. If they fail to do so, their candidature will be cancelled.

No, it is not allowed to change the test centre after NSAT 2026 admit card has been released. Candidates will have to appear for the exam at the centre as mentioned in the NSAT admit card.
